minutvolume sensor problems

I have some problems with my minutvolume sensor. My technician switsched it off. The problem is that working in garding, and other movements of arms generate a stronger signal than my breathing. So bending tie shoelaces results in higher frequency tthan maximum breating. Who is familiar with this complaint. I have a Boston-science W275.

It is 6 weeks post pacemaker implant. I was told that I can now go back to my former routine. I don't know exactly what I can do without injuring myself.

Lifted pretty hard today and noticed hours later my heart rate was still in the 120s. It is 82 as I write this now, so glad it has gone down, but this is now 11 hours later. Normal for first few tough workouts after PM placement (6 weeks out from implant)?
Side note, I noticed I pushed PM to the point the 2:1 safety block kicked in and cut my heart rate in half near the end of the workout. I've had this part once before on the treadmill and they have since adjusted my upper-bound up....

I injured my knee in Sept. Need MRI. I read where some pacemakers allow MRIs to be done. Do you know what kind?
I had mine about 3 yrs. ago. What can be done other than MRI?

Nice to meet you all.
I read with interest your comments on scuba diving with a pacemaker. I suffered with atrial fibrillation and athletes heart and destroyed my sinus node and other sparking nodes in my heart.
My cardiologist was amazed that presenting with a BP of 125/150 I didn't have a heart attack or stroke. Just lucky I guess.
She told me not to do anything much for three months. Two weeks after my op I felt so good I went for a two hour crab freedive and loved it...felt li...

UP3, Galvanic Skin Response and pacemaket

I am considering purchasing a Jawbone UP3, which includes a sensor for galvanic skin response (GSR), commonly known as skin conductance. The product is a band that is worn around the wrist near the hand. It "measures the resistance of body tissue to tiny electric current to enable the capture of a wide range of physiological signals including your heart rate."
The only details about how it works that I have found are at https://jawbone.com/blog/up3-advanced-multi-sensor-technology/....

Hi all,
This is my first posting so forgive me if this has been discussed elsewhere.
I am getting conflicting guidance about when I can resume running following implant 6 days ago.
The hospital where the op was done I'm sure said ok to start back after a couple of weeks but not to go over the top. No swimming golf etc for 6 weeks.
Just had first PM check at another (local) hospital but they were talking about not even beginning to run for 6 weeks. THis was generic advic...

I was just at a hotel, using the treadmill because there was complimentary exercise room. I realized that because I was holding onto the bars of the treadmill (I don't usually use these machines, so I wanted to hold on in case I tripped), the treadmill was keeping track of my heart rate. I thought maybe the treadmill was using an electric current to track this, so, thinking of my pm, I let go of the bars. Of course by doing this, the treadmill suddenly detected no heart rate and started "frea...

I STARTED CROSSFIT A FEW MONTHS PRIOR TO HAVING TO GET A DUAL CHAMBER PM LAST WEEK FOR BRADYCARDIA SYMPTOMS. IMPLANT IS IN UPPER PEC AREA ABOVE MUSCLE. MY DOCTOR IS NOT VERY FAMILIAR WITH CROSSFIT OR BARBELL WEIGHTLIFTING TECHNIQUES. HAS ANYONE ATTEMPTED CROSSFIT ROUTINES AFTER GETTING A PM AND/OR BEEN RESTRICTED BY PM DURING ANY BARBELL EXERCISES? THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY FEEDBACK.

I had my PM check yesterday and my battery life is 8-1/2 yrs. I'm pacing upper 78% of the time and lower 1%.
I have not exercised regularly in the past two yrs. Just occasionally for about a 15 min. workout.
My questions is, would regular aerobic exercise help my pacing rate and extend the battery life?
Would afib cause near fainting?

Before I got my pacemaker a year ago, I had had several episodes where I almost fainted while on the golf course. I would get dizzy and very light headed. They finally diagnosed it as Tachy/Brady syndrome and since getting the pacemaker that situation did not recur. That is, until a couple of months ago. They put me on a month long heart monitor in October but nothing happened during that month - just one shortness of breath incident. Today on the golf course I got the same near faint situation...

So I am looking for any advice or even opinion on what might be going on with my pm while biking.
First of all I have a Boston Scientific blended pacemaker that is currently set on minute ventilation only, I am paced 100% of the time and am a runner as well as a biker. I have had it for 2 months.
Running is great, feels like normal and is getting better and better but biking is another story altogether. As an example I just finished a 70 mile road bike ride, the first 20 miles were fin...

Hey guys,
I am curious if there is any marathon runners amongst us. I got my pacemaker a few weeks ago, feeling better than ever symptom wise, also only a little tender around my surgical sites. I used to be an elite half marathoner and I'd like to get back into running since I should no longer be fainting into the pavement. If any of you have suggestions on starting exercises to get back in the hang of things that would be amazing to hear what worked for you. I haven't been able to...

So I had my medication (Sotalol) reduced to 40mg 2x per day, at 80 mg, I felt lethargic. I run and walk my dog. I have an ICD for a sustained vtach and have an abnormal EKG, with low R Wave Progression and diffuse inverted T waves. I remain undiagnosed, and docs believe it could have been viral.
Anyone in similar circumstances and do well on lower doses of meds or no meds at all?
Thanks

Somebody asked if it's ok to ride horses with a pacemaker. My doc told me I could return to normal activities after the incision healed, his only concern was the lead disconnecting. I'm an avid rider, ride for hours at a time as well as doing dressage (with lots of sitting trot). No problems! So grateful for the pacemaker!
