I was most curious about this as we have just purchased a new car for our retirement! I was thinking maybe it wasn't such a good idea because it may interfere with my PM! However after doing some research this is what I found. :) I have a St. Jude PM

Getting close to retiring and having a van conversion done to do some traveling. The folks doing the conversion want to put the storage batteries (2 12 volt) under the couch/bed. I am paced almost 100% of the time while at rest. Is there a problem with being near large batteries or current?
Thanks

I have asked several professionals the following questions but have never been told a direct answer.
If I fall and am not breathing will the performance of CPR injure me worse if I have a pacemaker? I know CPR is performed lower than the heart and implant area but how will CPR start the heart if a pacer is inserted? Will CPR affect the pacer and patient?
If the pacemaker stops will CPR actually start the heart back up long enough to get...

I recently purchased a sleep number bed. After receiving it I read that it had magnets in the mattress. I am wondering if there is anything I need to worry about regarding the magnets.

Hello, Since getting my new kayak I'm having a great time collecting "stuff" for trips and one thing that is impotant for safety at sea is a VHS radio. Since it uses RF waves I did wonder if there could be any interferance, I very much doubt it but thorght I would ask, just in case.
Thanks Jane

Hi,
a few days ago I also had a vibration in my chest from my I.C.D. Lasted just a few seconds but kept repeating at irregular intervals during the day. It came from my I.C.D. The best description is 'like a phone on silent, just vibrates on a call". Spoke to my Pacemaker clinic at my local hospital who asked me to make a Manual Download to thier computer. They called me the next day and said,'Nothing to report in the download. All seemed normal. They also said they ha...

Thanks for your comments. In answer to your questions, I know 1200 jules is a lot. I don't know what exactly they did, I just heard the doctor say turn it to 1200 jules before they did it.
I don't know if it hurt my pacemaker,I doubt it. But I have I have been feeling a buzzing sensation coming from the pacemaker and mild lightheadedness.[

Hi all,
Just looking ahead and wondering how I would check the "magnetism" of a room. I work in an industrial processing plant that has an electrical room where the main and secondary controls are. There are other electrical banks and panels in there along with control charts that I change on a daily basis. I'd like to find out this info in case I end up getting a pm.
Inside the facility there are large pieces of equipment powered by large motors some...

I have wireless surround headphones for my pc and ps4. Both trip my pacemaker and put me into asynchronous test mode. Makes me feel yucky. My wired surround headphones and my PS virtual reality visor with headphones doesn't affect me at all because they're wired. Why is that and would all wired headphones be safe to use?

My implant was done in March 2017. About 4-5 months later I have been seeing huge beautiful blue
halos around the moon and other types of lights, as well as huge rainbow coloured halos
around street and dusk to dawn lights. My vision is not in any way affected by these nightly
halos., Please advise whether this is normal or should I be concerned.
You know you're wired when...
You have a maintenance schedule just like your car.
