pacemaker implant

My implant was done in March 2017.  About  4-5 months later I have been seeing huge beautiful blue

halos around the moon and other types of lights, as well as huge rainbow coloured halos

around street and dusk to dawn lights. My vision is not in any way affected by these nightly

halos.,  Please advise whether this is normal or should I be concerned.

Sounds more like a vision issue.  Sometimes cataracts cause that symptom.  Recommend making an appointment with an ophthalmologist (Medical Doctor specializing in eye care).

... but I had vision issues whilst still in hospital after Open Heart Surgery.  Symptoms were sensitivity to the artificial lights in the hospital ward, and seeing stars when eyes closed.  Conclusion for this was the effect of the general anaesthetic, and may not be relevant to an event sometime after your implant.

Good advice from Jimmy - I remember some sort of illness not long after I was diagnosed as an insulin dependent diabetci, and my doc saying just because you have diabetes doesn't mean everything that goes wrong is because of it.

Do you see what I see?

Always curious I looked up halos. At American Opthamologists site I found 4 causes listed. The included the already discussed caratacts as well as astigmatism, glaucoma and something I never heard of and can't remember.

It said nothing about pacemakers.

I suspect a trip to the eye doctor is in order.

Are you taking any...

Don's right. The meds I get from the 14 year old on the corner have all kinds of weird side effects...still that's what I'm going for, the side effects.

Seriously it's highly improbable your device has anything to do with this phenomenon. As the others mentioned, when I developed cataracts I had the same issues
