Hi,
To my great horror I've been experiencing extreme tinnitus since 4 december last. I was put on Verapamil, Flecainide and Apixaban on the 27th of oktober because of recurrent SVT of 120 bpm, retrograde conduction a lot of PAC's. My pacemaker would fall back to 70 bpm (base rate) whenever I was exercising and my doctor told me that the meds would make that go away. My pacemaker settings were changed at the end of my hospital stay.
The meds made me feel horrible (no jet ti...

I have had a Medtronic PM since 2005. I started feeling dizzy on occasions about 2 weeks ago. I had a PM telephone test done last week. They told me is was time for the PM to be replaced...battery was low.
I don't have a appointment for almost 2 weeks to be checked by the doctor.
Been feeling dizzy on occasions.....pulse drops to approx. 42 BPM. Feeling tired at times. At night sometimes feels like my heart is beating very hard in my stomach.
Am I OK waiting 2 weeks to go...

Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I have a question about my pacemaker. I have had my St. Jude pacemaker since December of 2012 and have done great considering the alternative, lol. I have a very strenuous job and have had no issues with it. I am a wind turbine mechanic and routinely climb 200-300 ft towers sometimes multiple times a day. Anyway, my heart rate has been approximately 80-90 when resting and doesn't usually go below that.
After doing some especially str...

My pacemaker was implanted in August due to sick sinus syndrome. After the procedure when they applied the pressure dressing the sutures holding the pacer in place tore loose and the pacer slid out of it's pocket and partially into my armpit. I had extreme pain after the procedure and when the dressing was removed I had a very painful lump in my armpit. The EP said this was normal swelling because he had placed the pacemaker under my breast muscle which would cause more pain and swelling. Howev...

The stomach flu has been going around the family and I am it's latest victim.
I got my pacer on the 6th and I am worried that the vomiting may have impacted the pacer placement. I plan to call my doc tomorrow but I didn't know if maybe someone had any advice/experience with this.

I'm 52 and used to be active, until the pacemaker. I blacked out and 7 days later had the pacer implanted. It's been 5 months and I'm miserable. Almost constant chest pressure and I can't do even half of what I use to be able to do. Tired all the time, run out of breath when I talk too much or walk too much. All test come back with nothing wrong and the pacer is working perfectly. I feel like no one believes me when I say something is not right!!

Had pacemaker put in Sept 28 2015. Experiencing arm and hand tremors. Also waking up in the middle of the night with the feeling of an electric current going down my left arm and hand. Could this be nerve damage?

My Mom has a St. Jude's pacemaker (replaced in 2014). The new transmitter box is a pain. It was working fine until we updated our internet service (Comcast Xfinity). After spending countless hours on the telephone with technical support, it has been determined that it is not compatible with transmitter. Get with the times Merlin! I'd hate to have to "down grade" to my old internet service. Any suggestions?

hi all:
I had my pacemaker implanted on Nov 13 2015, but, a week later, I needed follow up lead revision surgery and pericardio-centesis because the ventricle lead had micro-perforated the ventricle wall resulting in perdicardial effusion. (I had 700 ml instead of only 50 ml in the pericardium).
So here I am, a week post revision, and I'm still feeling short of breath and having chest pain on exertion. At about 10 mins slow easy walking, I'm out of breath, and my chest fee...

After 6 weeks, my heart rate is still speeding up (only in 80s) when I am sitting or resting without a good reason. If I am sitting, it will cause me to kind of cough - I say sounds like a cat with a hairball. It had not been speeding up when I did any activity though. I did 3 floors of stairs and it did not get above 65. They changed the setting to active and I am feeling better about moving and doing things (I am a band director) but still have hairball issues. I have found if I am sitting...

I just discovered this club. Wish I had found it sooner as I thought I was the only one fighting this battle. The same night I got the pacemaker my blood pressure soared to 225/125. I was not taking medicine and the nurses were frantic. I was put on five different kinds of medicine which nearly killed me. And no one was willing to help me discover what was wrong. I finally took myself slowly off all but one but there was still the highs and lows. I finally found a book called "Living Glut...

Hello,
I'm a 37 y/o female, pacemaker implanted in April 2015 for 3rd degree AV block. I have had a strange issue recently in which moving my left arm across my chest would reliably result in pacing (I have always been able to feel the pacing when it occurs). In addition, whenever I bent over, I would feel fluttering in my heart that would subside about 30 seconds later. After these issues had been occurring for about two weeks, I sent in a download and was told there was "a lot of i...

Seems I haven't posted since 2010!
My concern is that my doctor called to say he has had 'an alert' from Medtronic and they are going to remove the whole she-bang
in January.
He told me to not stress over this, okayyyy. Why do they not just call the week or two days before??
I have tiny veins and it took forever for them to get an IV to put the pacemaker in so I am dreading the very idea of surgery.
Has anyone else had their Medtronic In...

It is just over 10 years since a dual lead device was implanted for complete heart block. It has worked perfectly and I have traveled well near two million miles internationally since then.
