After 6 weeks, my heart rate is still speeding up (only in 80s) when I am sitting or resting without a good reason. If I am sitting, it will cause me to kind of cough - I say sounds like a cat with a hairball. It had not been speeding up when I did any activity though. I did 3 floors of stairs and it did not get above 65. They changed the setting to active and I am feeling better about moving and doing things (I am a band director) but still have hairball issues. I have found if I am sitting cross-legged it is worse. Anyone else have this issue?

80 beats per minute is considered normal, not speeding up.
Pacers are supposed to respond to arm movement but seeing as you've just had the settings changed, it might be sensitive enough to know that you've crossed your legs.
Does it settle down after a few minutes? Sure it's nothing to concern yourself about.
Best wishes.

Dry cough

You don't mention if you are taking any drugs ? Ace inhibitors ( the generic names always end with the letters "pril " e.g. lisinopril ) very commonly cause the sort of cough which you describe.
