Yes ! If it isn't treated.

Afib isn't anything to mess around with. It can cause you to have a blood clot which, in turn, can be pumped out and cause a stroke, heart attack, blood clot in the lungs, etc. Afib can easily set up situations that will kill you.

If you aren't being treated for it now, you'll need to take aspirin until you can get to a doctor who will prescribe a blood thinner.

If your heart rate and bp are out of sight, you may have afib with RVR which can kill you.

If you're still in the high heart rate and bp, I'd get to an ER and have them take steps to get everything under control Then make an emergency appointment with your EP to go under continual care.

I write a lot about afib on the forum. Probably sound like it isn't that big of a deal. But - I'm under doctor's orders, have specific steps to take, and am ready to go to an ER at a moments notice. Afib isn't anything to mess around with.

Time to get checked out.

I've had chronic AFib for years but use blood thinners and stay home with my pacemaker to rely on.

When they know what's going on, it may not be as scary and urgent. Every case is different but these are medical questions for docs to answer.

Hope you are better soon.
