Metropolol and neck pain

I have not been here in a long while.First was my wife was here with  several complications with AFib and finally an AV block and Pacemaker. We both have Medtronic Pacermakers, mine for low heart rate.

in May and June I became dizzy on golf course and pretty much 'out of it' with my agressive 84 year old life style. So cardio did treadmill and said I have SVT and put me on Metropolol 50 er.  Its been wonderful with now playing a full 18 holes and no dizzyeness.

A Painful Story

Hello group.  My name is Matt and I am a new arrival here.  My wife had an ICD implanted in August 2015 following unsuccessful EP studies and a subsequent out-of-hospital cardiac arrest which I ressucitated her from (and implanted again in September 2015 and again in May 2016 because the first two procedures had been messed up). Diaphragm Pacing

Since a few months I have been experiencing diaphragm pacing. It's like I have the hiccups but without the sound. They lowered the amplitude a few times. The first few weeks it seems to help, but than the diaphragm pacing comes back again. It mostly happends when I lay down on my right side (on the sofa or at night in bed; it wakes me up) or after I have eaten something. You can even see it from the outside;

Pain laying down

Hi all, 

    I had my 5th pacemaker fitted about a month and a half ago and ever since have been having an EXTREMELY hard sleeping. I had the surgery bc my pocket was loose and the old PM was slightly moving, causing irritation and inflammation. Now that is all gone and the new PM has been placed under my pectoral. Constant tiredness

I had a full heart block in Nov 2016. I had my pacemaker fitted and was informed that I would essentially be back to normal. I am 48 I have an active job and used to exercise regularly and play sport.

 

Since my implantation I have been constantly tired and seem to be getting worse. My knee and elbow joints ache and any kind of exertion leaves me exhausted.

Response to AFIB EVENTS AFTER PM IMPLANT

Thank you to those who responded to my posted concerns of having additional AFib events after getting my pacemaker. I saw MY cardiologist on Friday for the first time since getting the PM. He said the episodes (had another one on Saturday) are due to my heart racing not my AFib. The meds to slow my heart were not working and my PM had been left with just factory settings. Leg and joint aches

It's been 8 weeks since pacemaker was inserted.  Last week my knee joints and lower legs began to ache and tingle off and on.  Has anyone had issues with legs after surgery?  I took extra CoQ and vitamin D.  It seemed to help my joints a little but my legs from the knee down to my ankles still ache and tingle off and on.

AFIB episode after pacemaker implantation

Why does it still hurt?

Hey there! I'm new to the pacemaker club and I hate it. I had my pacemaker put in on 4/24/17 after I went into cardiac arrest twice from sudden onset sick sinus syndrome. I'm a 23 year old female and they placed my pacemaker very far over on my left chest area. It's so far over that it sticks out under my armpit. Pacemaker post surgery issues

I had my pacemaker placed almost 3 months ago. I had pleurisy soon as I got home from hospital. Also have had tingling in left arm since. Left arm pain

Hello Everyone,

My wife undergone pacemaker surgery last year on April 2016. She has dual chamber pacemaker. Blister in incision scar

I had pacemaker surgery about 3 months ago and developed a sort of blister on the end of the scar about a month ago. My PCP saw it about 2 weeks ago and said it was just damaged and not infected. My cardiologist saw it last week and said it would pop on it's own and to keep it dry. It did pop but I forgot to cover it once and it stung really bad when it got wet. Many complications

Hi just wondering if anyone has had so many complications following surgery. Went in for a simple box change. When in theatre they tried to change vt lead as running at a high threshold. This was unsuccessful so abandoned. 5 days later developed a pneumothorax, treated with chest drain. Then got dizzy spells, pacemaker check said no problems. GP treated me for silent migraines. Knee surgery

I am 70 and have pacemaker which I am 100 % depended on and on blood thinners. Went to Dr today to see about knee replacements and he said I couldn't have it done because to risky. Anyone else been turned down because of pacemaker?

Steroid injection

Pm and lead extraction after 3 months

Hi-in a couple of weeks I go back to my new EP and find out if the PM stays or goes. If the pm hasn't paced me in the last month both my EP and cardiologist reccommended extracting it. (If it has to stay then I need surgery anyway as one of my leads isn't in the right place) it seems that my low heart rate was due to the bystolic I took for 7 years.
