Had a device swap and lead revision on Jan 2nd (this year). On Jan 29th I had a stress test to see what the new unit was capable of and to see if they moved the atrial lead to a better location then before. Everything worked better than expected and I was on cloud 9 feeling better than ever.

Twitching

Hi everyone, My husband received his first pacer at age 19 for type two heart block and nocternal bradycardia. His next generator change was in his late 20s, both were St. Jude. In July, he had another generator change at the age of 35. This was a Boston Scientific device. We went back multiple times to get the settings correct. This part is now resolved. Pacemaker

Have a 3 lead Medtronic implanted November 10th.  Still having problems with being very weak and short of breath. Cannot build stamana. Appointment was met and adjustments were made to the pacemaker a month ago. No improvements that helped my problem. Another appointment was made and seen my cardiologist for the problems. Blood tests were good, chest X-ray was good and waiting on echocardiogram results. Anyone have this problem if so was improvements made?

Heart

I have a quick question,has anyone on this forum had a stent put in their heart  while they still have a Pace Maker? My doctor wants to do a catherization to make sure I don't have a heart blockage. I thought the Pacemaker would prevent this from happening. I am nervous about having stents as well as a PM.

Pacemaker problem?

Hello everyone, I’m new here and this is my first post! I had a pacemaker fitted in 2007 and since then things have been absolutely fine. I went for a check up in December and have asked to see me again in 6 months rather than the usual 12 because the battery is nearing the end of its life.

Pacemaker lead replaced

After three months of problems and complaining, I had surgery  to replace the lead. Well, I am still having problems. I have a very bad pain in my arm that comes and goes, a pinched feeling next to the pacemaker. Still have extreme burping and pain in the chest area.. I have an apt to see the heart doctor on the 5th. What would happen if I just told them to remove it?

Sustained increased pacing when falling asleep

Periodically, just as I am falling asleep, my pacemaker kicks in and raises my heart rate to 120 and sustains that pace.  Sometimes it is for 5-10 minutes, other times it is 1-4 hours.  I know my inherant heart rate is lower than the low setting on the PM, and I wonder if this is happening when my HR drops below 60 bpm.  Also - I am not moving when the HR goes from 60 to 120 during these incidents.

Lung collapse

Last Thursday I had my pacer replaced with an ICD because I have VT.  After the surgery when I returned to my room I had difficulty breathing and learned I had a collapsed lung because of a needle stick by the doctor.  He then inserted a tube and I felt better very quickly.  The insertion was extremely painful.  Anyone have a similar experience and what was the recovering like?

My mother's heart was punctured during pacemaker surgery. This led to a horrible stroke and a feeding tube.

I am looking for others who know of this happening during pacemaker surgery. My mother was left blind, paralyzed and dementia set in. I chose to have the feeding tube removed and she died a month later. I’m trying to locate people who have had similar experiences. I have retained a lawyer...

Feeling weak

Hi everyone. I am a 59 yr old female, had a pacemaker placement 9wks ago this Wednesday will make 10wks. I am still so weak it's all I can do to do the basic task. Throbbing sharp pain above collar bone by neck

my pace maker was put in Jan 3rd 18. 

I ended up in the ER Friday 12th from this throbbing pain above my collar bone by my neck. On the same side pacemaker.  I started to feel very sick to my stomach. They gave me something for nausea. 

Earlier that day my grandson noticed how huge my veins looked. I figured it was because my heart's beating the blood.

Hand swell and Arm swell

Since my pacemaker implant on my left side 2 years ago, my left arm, leg and hand have swelled up quite a bit. Reading and research has shown many people with implants, either side, has experienced the same. Pain around pacemaker area

So I'm new to this, I just got my pm implanted September 15, 2017 and unfortunately I was in a vehicle accident December 15th and rolled my truck into a ditch. I was trapped hanging upside down from the seat belt and it was creating a tremendous amount of pressure on my pm site. Complete heart block after 2nd ablation

I have had a pacemaker/defibrillator for almost two years.  I was having ventricular tachycardia.  I got shocked 4 times in a row about a month ago so an ablation was done.  But the vt persisted.
