I have an apple watch and I use it constantly and I have never had any issues with it affecting my pm :) I also wear it when seeing my rep and/or doc and they have never mentioned that it would hurt me either

I got my PM one month ago.  I've had no issues (that I could tell) with my PM while wearing my Apple watch.

for the record... I've had a defibrillator for 11 years and am paced in both ventricles 100% and my watch has never interferred. Now granted, it's not an apple but is a lemon.

You guys really drive yourselves crazy worrying about nothing. My wife once stacked 36 refrigerator magnets on my device site attempting to pull off the perfect crime and I'm still here, though I heard she was buying more magnets...

ROBO,

LOL

Even though household magnets won't affect your pacemaker, if your wife piles enough of them on your chest, it could smother you. Have you thought of that?

Better be nice to her. We'd hate to lose you.

Hiya, I have a Medtronic ICD-CRT and have worn an Apple Watch for a couple of years now.  The watch itself is slightly magnetic, but doesn't appear to present an issue.  I have found that the metallic mesh strap (Milano I believe they call it) with a magnetic closure can get a reaction from my device if held directly over the device.  It acts as a magnet should with the ICD and temporarily suspends any defib shocks, it will cause my device to sound a tone/alarm (great way to get out of a boring meeting at work LOL).  The first time this happened I totally freaked out and had a friend rush me to the ED, all for nought. I discussed with my cardiologist and he said not to be concerned and that it might actually be a bit reassuring to have a magnet readily available to control unintended defibs.

As with all comments here, please check with your healthcare provider or device manufacturer.

I’ve been wearing mine a year and love it! No problems. Of course, I don’t put it over my PM. Love the data I get from it and it’s not the 4 that just came out. I will upgrade when I have the $$.

You know you're wired when...
