Hi all! New here! Nice to find you!! Have any of your had any type of Tinnitus after surgery? I had 2nd pacer installed in Aug last year. Apparently a lead is holding open my tricuspid valve... And I now here blood rushing & pulsing in my ears when lying down at night. Weird, Yes or No?
Thanks!

I had a bi-ventricular icd fitted 2nd Jan 2018, after 3 weeks I started getting a kicking sensation (almost like a baby kicking) my right side jerks as it does so, my daughter says it look like I have hic-cups. I had it adjusted at my check up 2 weeks ago but it’s still doing it anyone else experience this, the hospital said they’d never come across it before.

Hi again,
Not to alarm everyone, but I did want to make sure the community is aware of a bad batch of defibrillators produced by Medtronic. The recall was released yesterday I believe. It only affected 48 devices in the United States, so the chances are low that it's yours. But do please check the serial number on your patient ID card that was given to you to see if it matches the serial numbers provided in the link below. If you have lost your card, you can always call Medtro...

Good morning to everyone in this club!
My father had a pacemaker surgery back on May 24,2017 at the age of 65...he had lived with a pulse im his 50s without knowing. At a drs visit they checked hid pulse at it was 36...nurse asked if he didn't feel dizzy or had chest pain. Since he was not showing symptoms his dr referred him to a cardiologist the following morning. That same day I decided to take him to the ER. There drs advised that yes his pulse was very low and needed the device...

I’ve posted on different subject from the drop down menu. No one answered. I’ve had arrhythmia my whole life. Had my first out of four ablation when there were only 70 Electrophysiologists in the U.S. I New a pacer was coming, but fought it off, because I didn’t want to live with maintainance for so many years!
went into ER because for the first time, my high HR wouldn’t, couldn’t be stopped! 130-150+ bpm. I also dropped to 30b...

Hi. I am a 22 yo female. I had my pacemaker put in when I was 5 years old. I started having issues this past year while excersising or doing strenuous activities. Went to the doc and got an x-ray because one of my leads was not doing anything. He found a “kink” in my lead which has caused it to rip in half. He has told me that I would have to have surgery to remove the lead and replace it. The surgery would have to be separated into two because of how my lead was placed. The first...

Well, it has been a while since I've been on, or asked any questions specifically. But, I'm still alive and able to ask, so why not go to the experts of experience!
December 21, 2016 I had my third ICD device installed. The difference this time, was they had to do a lead extraction(damn Riata). During extraction the wonder lead uncoiled in my heart like shrapnel and had to be taken out piece by piece over a ten hour period. Doc said they had me arched bac...

I've noticed some swelling at my pacemaker site and that I can feel my pacemaker a little more than before..I don't have any other symptoms of infection, I don't think.. I have had some other issues that I don't think are related such as breast pain (appt tomorrow), and neck and upper back pain (working on in physical therapy).. I have an appt today for a stress test but I'm wondering if I should go thru with it or ask to see my doctor instead to get him to check my pacema...

I have a Medtronic dual lead sure scan pm. The VA hospital is where I go for all of my cardio stuff. I have been having a ton of problems and they are calling it pm syndrome. I am only 44 I have a level 3 av block or complete heart block and when just the ventricle is pacing I feel it every time. It feels like I felt everything I woke up from syncope. They have tried to reprogram it at least a dozen times and nothing works
It has been so bad that I want to sign a DNR and have it...

Hi all, I’ve been away for awhile and fortunately that means my generator replacement last year healed without complications and life went on.
today I have a question please. I am scheduled for the dreaded colonoscopy and EGD next month and because I have a pacemaker the GI doctor wants me to have it done in the hospital setting and not in an outpatient center. Any of you had a recent scope ( top and bottom) and if so what were your experiences? Did t...

Dear members, I’ve thought long before posting this and sorry for bothering you with this long text.
I received my pacemaker (Biotronik Ecuro DR; setting: DDDR) in October 2014, just after my 60th birthday, for 2nd degree AV block; meanwhile this has developed into almost total heart block. I also have SSS and I’m am chronotropically incompetent, but otherwise healthy and with a normal LVEF (>55). I was successfully ablated f...

Hi... just had a Biv CRT/Defib implanted two days ago. This afternoon I started experiencing rather sharp pains in my left chest area, below and to the left of the incision, much more intense than I had been led to believe - tylenol will not fix these and percocet is not helping much.
Called the after hours cardio guy who was no help. He could not think of anything the device would do to cause that. I mean, c'mon guy - it's related, whether it was ca...

Hey All,
I had my pacemaker implanted at 25 for severe bradycardia and Adams-Stokes syndrome. Over the past 2 months I've been getting runs of tachycardia which makes me feel awful. Tingling into my face, I feel it in my throat and my HR gets over 130. I know this isnt crazy high, but it makes me feel pretty shitty.
Has anyone experienced this?
