Chronic irregular hr

I wish I could post a pic, its been a while .I have vaso vagle. With low hr, hence pm, 4 years ago, I have not been the same since implant, I swear its the settings. Hr set at 55 which is good for me. But my hr is all over the place all day since inplant. 60, 115,98,114, 55, ect. Medtronic Home Monitor

I had my replacement implanted last Friday. I received a call from my Dr’s office telling me my new pacemaker has the ability to use a home monitor for my quarterly interrogations rather than going to my cardiologist office. 

That makes me happy !!  Does anyone else use a Medtronic Home monitor? What’s your opinion?

New to CRT / Results drastically different

Hello! I had a CRT-D implanted in December. It is my first one. They decided to do the surgery in November and scheduled it for January, but, I got them to do it right before Christmas when a slot opened up, because I maxed my out of pocket (so I didn't have to pay woooohooo). 

In January my Interrogation report read Right <1% paced. Left 100% paced. In March it read Right 32% paced and Left 100% paced. Now, just today it reads Right 76% paced and Left 100% paced.

All a flutter

I had a pacemaker inserted April 2017.  All seemed to be fine.  Now one year later I am taking little episodes of heart flutters, like my heart is over beating.  I have had it checked by the technicians and they have reduced it to 40 - they said that my normal resting heart rate is probably quite low and that the pacemaker is working too much.  I had this adjustment done about two weeks ago but unfortunately I am still getting the same feelings.....it's a little b...

Thanks for the reply, regarding the position, i have been told this by other people ( Heart Physiologists ) who do the tests.

The strange part ( and i cant really go into that ) i never had the symptoms in the first place,

Pacing Checks

I can recall going for a pacemaker check years ago, and there was one person doing the test.

for a little while now i see there are two senior heart physiologists doing the test, and aparently it wont be the same two on next visit,  so how long has this been in place Any ideas ?

My device is Identity ADx DR 5386.

I have two leads originally set to ,mode, DDD, now its set to one lead ( Ventrical ) mode, VVI.

99% sense, <1% VP.

I have heard that the value < is less than symbol,  and the whole number if it can be defined as a number = 000.01  basically nothing,

Pacemaker adjustment and impact on blood pressure

My husband had a Biotronik biventricular pacemaker implanted in November 2017. He is 58 and had no previous health or heart issues before having 4 epsiodes of blacking out last Sept - October timeframe, one with a heart monitor where it showed his heart stopped for 12 seconds.  The diagnosis was left bundle branch block, requiring a biventricular pacemaker and he has also had 2 stents put in given blockages found in the circumflex and LAD arteries,post pacemaker surgery. ...

DDDR vs DDIR Biotronic Eluna 8 -afib

Last Monday I had a pacemaker check up and they saw that I am in afib again as from the beginning of March. A hybrid ablation for afib is what caused me to be in need of the pacemaker in the first place. 

Because the Biotronic was often tracking my afib by pacing in the ventricles for some time before doing a mode switch they decided to go from DDDR to DDIR.

Heart pausing

Hi.. I recently posted that my heart was pausing again. Had an dual pacemaker fitted 2015 for 2bd degree heart block  I have the medtronic advisa. I started to feel my heart pausing and was able to capture this via my alivecor .. Sent the result of to my cardiologist and he then called me into the pacer clinic  Have been told today that heart is pausing for 3 secs.. Need for rate response

Is there a electrophysiologist cardiologist out there who can explain to me why my heart decided to not pick up as it used to and therefore the rate response had to be turned on?  Had the dual lead PM implanted in Feb. 2017, and this was done a few months ago.  I asked what this meant and was told, "it means it is a good thing you have a pacemaker." Pacemakers and active activities and pulse

I havent posted here for a few years as my PM's been pretty stable although it has its quirks.

To my great relief when browsing the posts here I found plenty of people discussing my 2 main issues of the pacemaker pushing my pulse to high when not needed (like when driving on rougher roads) causing pain and discomfort and the pacemaker not pushing my pulse quick enough when needed (sudden activity) causing bad shortness of breath.

Visit to pacemaker clinic

Two months since pacemaker fitted, I felt more breathless than normal when walking up hills when playing golf I told the clinic nurse about this.

I was amazed when she told me there was a crystal within the pacemaker that could be activated by her.

The crystal would come into play when my body was exerted and would help with the breathing. I had to swing my arm as it only kicked with active movement meaning it would not activete when say cycling.

Pacemaker setting recommendations

Hi! I'm a pacemaker newbie. I'm 41 and had my pacemaker implanted 2 weeks ago for Mobitz type 2; I really haven't had many symptoms but this is the second EP to tell me I needed one and I finally decided to get the darn thing. I have passed completely out about 5 total times in my life, usually in reaction to pain or to eating bulky food. Stress test

Hellinall. Haven't been on here in a while. I'm having my first stress test done wednWedne w/o contrast. I had a ST Jude dual lead pacer put in October 9 2017 for 2nd degree heart block and 34 years old. No medical history besides the pacer and spinal stenosis. Since I had the pacer put in every now and then I would get chest tightness and feel short of breath. Pulse always normal when it happened at 80. Feeling shock like sensations

I recently was interrogated at MD appt. Since that appt I have been getting shock like sensations to upper right area of my chest and to my left side (high up beneath my rib cage). Medtronic programming history

Looking for some feedback.   Does my Medtronic pacemaker keep a history of all my pacemaker settings? I was interrogated on March 20 2018. They stated they made a change to extend my battery life. I felt fine prior to this change. But now I feel an almost shock sensation to the center of me chest and my left side.  It’s very uncomfortable.  I pace less then 1% of the time.
