17% paced

17% paced isn't really a lot. I'm 100% paced, as are many of us. Those of us who are 100% paced get along just as well as those who are paced less.

Really, all any percent means is that the pacemaker is kicking in anytime our heart rate falls below a preset minimum.

Don't get attached to numbers. What matters is how you feel and whether you are able to do what you want to do.

Don't get hung up on the pacing numbers

Don't get hung up on the pacing numbers.  You'll pace what you pace.  I think I was pacing at 40% on the first report.  Then the numbers jumped to 80 - 90% and stayed there.  It isn't the pacing number, just that your heart is beating as it should.  Your heart isn't being lazy or anything like that.  Just what your pacemaker determines what is needed.

Glad to see you're interested in getting out and doing things.  People who want to get out and do things seem to have a better adjustment to the pacemaker.

Hope everything else is going well for you.

I’m from Newmarket too

I’m 100% paced. I still get light headed after climbing the stairs and I had my pm implanted on March 5 th of this year. I’m still trying to figure it out.   Get out there and keep going. Glad to hear from another Ontarian!!  Too bad about the Leafs.

I wasn't really self-conscious about it. I didn't even know I had one until around six or seven years old. I just thought I had a rock in my side.
