Hello everyone,

I am a 65 year old woman. Last week I was diagnosed with Bradycardia and had a pacemaker implanted. Came as a complete surprise to me, as I was active and otherwise healthy.

Pace maker effect on afib/flutter

Hello. I'm brand new to this forum and have recently been advised that I should  have a p.m implanted. 

Question: will the p.m have a positive effect on afib? Will it eliminate episodes? Or will it have no effect at all?

Still progressing well with my Pacemaker and heart block

My pacemaker was fitted after discovering I had a 2:1 AV block. That was in November 2020.

I have had a few changes to the pacemaker settings since then but now on a setting of VVI40 (which only kicks in if my ventricles drop below a rate of 40bpm.

I am now pacing in the ventricles 1.3% of the time.

update to my tests for ferritin and C-reactive Protein cardiac

The doctor recommends green veggies and lean protein.  which means i have to leave my veggie lifestyle after 30+ years.  Thank goodness hopefully will be for only 3 months.

I got back the results from the Food Sensivity test, which showed me why i reacted to some of the foods that have been eating.

Treatment

Hi Everyone,

 

I'm a 25 year old male that got a pacemaker implanted when I was 2 years of age. I am on the search for any treatments to resolve the need for a pacemaker. If anyone knows of anything please feel free to send it my way. 

 

What I have discovered so far is magnesium apparently is great for healing/ repairing damaged tissue around the heart but I am only early in my search and do not know of any proven studies.

PVCs

I've been having tons of what I think are PVCs lately.  I don't feel the "hidden" pulse though, unless it's right after the true pulse. If that's the case, I don't see how the next pulse is being inhibited.  I've been  having them while cooling down after walking but recently at random times, mostly at rest.

sure I've spent 15 days in the hospital 5 days each, 3 different times, had a lot tests done, had a lot of doctors fawn over me.  Walked out the front door and not had to fill out 1 form or reach for my wallet.

Newly Implanted

Hello all! I'm glad I found this site. I've been all over the place with my new ICD. I was implanted a week ago and a week after I had V-tach and the doctors could not figure out why and had to transfer me to another hospital with an mri team that could do one on my heart. doctors leaving or reducing their hours

Continuing the discussion of what Lavender mentioned about her doctor leaving.   Had that happen with my GP who sold her practice to a large corpropration.  This corporation only took Medicare Advantage which meant i had to leave since only have regular Medicare. Because our local hospitals got there own hospitalist.  Meant she lost that money from her 5am rounds.  Unfortunitaly she got Covid19.  Decided to leave her practice intirely .

Hi all, Just found this forum and it's great to read through some of your experiences with a pacemaker.

CRT-P

Hi I was fitted with a crt-p pacemaker as had complete heart blockage and was born with my heart the wrong way round. Just been looking up about CRP/T pacemaker and people say there for heart failure. It wasn't mentioned to me I had heart failure. An take no medication. Wondering if people know about crp/t packers.
