Fluttering feeling

I am having this aggravating flutter feeling in my chest and throat. I asked the Device nurse at the Doctors office and they don’t know what is causing it. I’ve had my Pacemaker for about 5 weeks. Does anyone else experience this?

Pacemaker adjustment

Hi everyone, I am glad to find this forum.  I had a pacemaker put in for a secondary block - low heart rate do to bottom chamber not communicating with top.  I was tired but really only felt a little pressure which caused me to go get checked and glad I did or else I wouldn't be writing this.  I am having a difficult time with adjusting as I get parenoid about flutters or any wierd feeling.  I am checking my heart rate more times then I want to admit.  How do over...

ICD

My hubby is 72 had ICD just put in 4 days ago. He is left handed so it is on right side for convenience.  I know everyone is different and it takes time but do you honestly feel better, or notice any change. He has been so worn down and exhausted for so long, I don't think he is seeing alot of light at the end of tunnel.  Also like alot of men he wants results now, patience is needed.

Do you know what I'm saying. Any words of advice

Just Joined the Club.

Hello, everyone. I'm 38 and I was diagnosed with Nonischemic Congestive Cardiomyopathy in 2019, and I received my 3 lead CRT-D implant about 6 weeks ago. I do not personally know anybody with a pacemaker, much less someone my own age, so I joined this forum today in hopes of maybe finding some information, and/or comfort, to help me wrap my brain around everything.

On one hand, I feel better than I have in *years*. My ejection fraction has been 20-25...

Pacemaker dependent

Hi, new here, just found the group. I had a pacemaker installed almost 2 years ago. I was involved in a car accident that resulted in my Tricuspid value tearing. As a result a growth started to form in my Rt ventrical around the valve which started to cause serious PVC's which was found after a life scan. I was told I was lucky they found it and that usually these things dont end well. Anyways, I had some complications with my distolic rate when they took the growth out and replaced the v...

Hi

Im so happy I have found this group, this is truly amazing 😉

I've had a CRT-P fitted 12 days ago and have notice these last 3 days that my heart rate is pacing up 120bpm on basic walking around without strenuous activity. My device has been set to 70bpm so when I'm walking it does feel uncomfortable as I can feel my heart pounding away.

is this normal?

Fourth Day Pacemaker

I am not sure if what I am feeling is real or not. I seem to have a lot of tightness in my neck muscles mostly on the side of the pacemaker. A hollow sensation in the middle of my chest, headaches, and I have no energy.

I have expressed these concerns to my physicians's nurse, not sure if the information is getting to the doctor. the nurse doesn't seem concerned. Should I be?

PM and AV node ablation - will I still need anti-arrythmics?

Hi All,

Please excuse the waffling.

I had my PM on the 10th of August and after a call with the EP yesterday I realised I'm to have an AV node ablation at some point.  My next (phone) appointment with cardiology is on 14th September, which will be a year and a day since my first AF diagnosis.

The Gizmo and I are getting settled, but I don't feel that wonderful and I think I'm still a bit overwhelmed by the journey so far.  It has...

Tape and pacemaker covered

Was at my GP thurs and he started to remove the purple tape that covered my surgery , I asked him to stop because when he pulled it hurt a tad.  It's been 18 days since my new pacemaker was  put in and the tape is coming off by its self. Wow when I saw the incision it was small and looked better then I thought. How long did most of you wait for your tape or what ever was covering your incision before you took it off? Thank you for any info.

Feeling Violated

On 29 July I went into hospital (in UK) for an ablation to treat palpitations, pre-syncopal events and angina - a one-day in hospital and take it easy for a couple more days before heading back to work kind of deal.

The 29th was a Wednesday, I did indeed leave hospital the same day, the following day was OK. On the Friday morning I went bat-shit crazy and was hospitalised locally. I was discharged a few hours later when they had decided I hadn't had a heart attack and went home.

Digital bathroom scale safe?

Just bought a digital bathroom scale from Amazon, never realizing there would be a caution in the directions about using it if you have a pacemaker. I have a CRT-P, and this scale is just for weight, operating on two AAA batteries, not body fat or other sophisticated analysis. Anyone w similar experience have a recommendation? Thanks

Pacemaker

Hello,

I just received my pacemaker three weeks ago.  I thought I'd be feeling GREAT but I can't say that's how I'm feeling.

I've had anxiety issues as well as palpitation issues - both which have been making my recovery harder than I had expected.

has anyone else had these problems?

Any advice is appreciated...

Thanks...

What is Normal

 Hello,

I am a 59 year old woman who had a full electrical block and a subsequent pacemaker implant. All other aspects of my heart are fine. Pre-surgery symptoms were light headedness, tired, and shortness of breath. Post-surgery I am still experiencing occasional light headed spells and for the most part do feel a great deal better. The doctors are still tweaking my beta blockers. I am not in great physical shape and do not participate in cardio activities. I had a cardio wat...

out in four

Like your post says, I didn't get all that info the first time 8 years ago. They had me checked every 15 minutes and i had a private nurse keep a eye on me. Everything was good on my checkup but the person from Bocton Sceientific was in the room whhen they put my pacemaker in and thats when they check them, it worked fine for me the first time and I hope it works as good this time. I have a check up next week and will post the outcome. Have a nice day.

pacemaker replaced today

It seems to bother me more today then when I had my first pacemaker put in 8 years ago. The Dr has done more the 5000 pacemakers in his time , and I know he's a good Dr. But they told me it should take about 45 minutes so I know it should be over fast. They told me if all goes well I should be able to leave in 3 to 4 hours. Well here's hoping all goes well and this will last as long as my last one.
