Doing labour

Moving ON
I've had my PM for 1 month now and the bruising and muscle pain are gone. I've done my first transmission and was told that all was well. My question is, does the anxiety / worry / concern go away. Physically I don't feel too bad and really think I'm recovering and doing ok, but my thoughts and worry is what I want to move away from. Thanks.
rhythm
Just curious, I’m not sure what you call it but I have a rhythm jump is about the best way to describe it. My doctor says it is with the pacemaker and not heart. It shows on my device check. I notice it every now and then but catches me off guard. Anyone have that happen? Doctor says not to worry.

New to the Club
Just received PM this past Monday. Was diagnosed with tachy/brady, with several AFib bouts in the past few months. I’m 58, played soccer most my life, and consider myself to be in good shape. All cardiac test indicated no valve, artery, or structural issues. Only lighter in the wallet.
Hard to get used to 60 bpm rest setting when I was “normally” 48-52 or even less. I still get arrhythmia several times a day, which never fails to scare the shit out of me, bu...

OK this may sound really odd but I was curious to know if there’s anyone out there like me. I got my pacemaker December 16, 2016, making it now more than two years ago. I do not have any issues, and completely healthy and for the most part I forget I even have it But then there are times when I am very aware of it! I am a very queasy person who has a very weak stomach. I have a very difficult time touching it and honestly it creeps me out! &nbs...
welcome to the club you didn't want to belong to
THE COMMENT, 'WELCOME TO THE CLUB YOU DIDN'T WANT TO BELONG TO' MADE ME LAUGH OUT LOUD. ISN'T THAT THE TRUTH!
I NEEDED A LAUGH TODAY. TIRED OF DOCTOR'S APPTS, TIRED OF MEDS/COSTS/MANAGEMENT, TIRED OF NEGATIVE RESULTS/DECLINES, JUST PLAIN TIRED.

Short of breath
I had a PM inserted 8 months ago for complete heart block and SSS. I am still struggling with SOB on exertion. PM set at 60/120. I have asked if it could be raised, but told no. It is fine. Had several appts with pulmonologist and he says my lungs are functioning fine. Checked for asthma: none. Have been taking iron for slight anemia (10.6) but still SOB. What is wrong with me?! I am 68 and used to being fairly active. Now I can barely rake the leaves in my yard (left over from last fall when...

I just had my pacemaker installed last week.
The dressing came off yesterdatay. I did not know the pacemker would show on my chest. I am a bit freaked out. Does that later fit into the chest more or will the view not change? Also having pain in left arm; how long before that subsides?
Thanks

Hi guys!
I’ve literally only just stumbled across this site by chance tonight and after reading some public posts, saw how positive everyone was and felt like i wanted to be a part of this group.
I had my first pacemaker fitted 4 years ago but unfortunately had a car accident 11 days later which caused it to tear from the ‘pocket’ so had it repositioned under GA 4 months later.
I was 29 when I first had it fitted and had no history of any heart p...
Downward Slide
Hi,
I’ll make this as brief as possible. A year ago I presented with 3rd degree block, was diagnosed with sick sinus and given a Pacemaker. Exactly 6 months later I received an ICD. Exactly a year to the day I was first diagnosed, I was shocked while working out. I’m sliding down a slippery slope to a state of unhealthy and I’m terrified. I just turned 50 and have been exceptionally healthy my entire life. There has been no diagnosis in a year, just two devices and inc...
Pacemaker
Hi, I am in my 60''s with a pacemaker placed 2 months ago for AV node block with bradycardia and arrhythmia. My question is about clothing and pressure on the pacemaker. My grandchildren like to put their head on my shoulder as I read to them, one on each shoulder. Is the pressure from their heads cause for concern. Also my bra straps seem to rub some. I know the skin is still tender and not concerned about that just if this...

Hi all, Mike here in Wisconsin. Never had heart problems in my family. I had been feeling weak, passed out twice, kids wanted me to see a Doc but I was a stubborn 'tough' guy and didn't. Last week I got a call about a job, then went to visit my Pastor. Twice during our chat I nearly passed out. I thought I better get my heart listened to. I drove to the local walk in clinic and with 10 mins. they said they had bad news. I knew it was bad when they wanted to send me to their compet...

Well I had my pacemaker installed last Wednesday at age 52. I have been doing well with things for the most part. The hardest part for me is dealing with these restrictions. I am trying my hardest not to mess up because the last thing I want to do is have to go back in under the knife again. Last night was the moment that scared me the most. I woke up in the middle of the night finding myself laying on my left side with my left arm stretched out toward the headbo...

So I'm 3 months post op and I was just remembering that on the first weeks after the surgery I had to put some show on netflix so I could go to sleep. To give a little background, I've never been someone to need a nightlight or sounds to fall asleep, but if I'm sleeping with someone and they wanna watch tv while I sleep I've never had an issue with it, even though I'm a relatively light sleeper. Also for the surgery I was extremely calm, despite everyone around me bei...
