Anxiety!!!!!!!

I am 21 years old and just had a PM implanted in January 2013. It's especially difficult for me because I never had a "normal" heart rate. I have always had a low heart rate and a doctor never once said anything about it. My heart rate before the PM always stayed in the low 50's-60's while active and low 40's while resting. I had my crt-p fitted yesterday and as epected very sore and tired but at least that part is over with hopefully. I had been for about 10 hours without anyhing to eat and drink, my daughter in law had bought 3 bottles which I thought were orange juice, I drank 2.5 bottles as I was so thirsty. 87 year old getting pacemaker on Thursday

My father is getting his first PM on Thursday. He is already very frail. I understand he will have very limited to no use of his left arm as he recovers. How do you manage this when he needs to use a walker now, uses a handrail to get on and off the potty, needs help getting in and out of bed and chairs?

Pacer/defib third lead to ventricle

My cardiologist wants to put a third lead in the left ventricle. They will have to make an intercostal incision, place the lead externally (I think) and then 'fish' the lead up to the pacemaker/difib. I have some concerns regarding risks and success of the procedure. If you have had this done would you please let me know your experience. I am in hopes that it will give me a better quality of living. Thank you.

ive got a bloody stitch poking through my scar now :( ive been to my docs and she cut it level with my skin but its back poking through again they are suppose to dissolve ....not sure if i should go back or leave it alone , anyone else had this??

anxiety

im suffering badly with anxiety at the moment im 3 weeks on from having my pm fitted and i cant seem to relax at all everytime i feel a flutter ...(due to the fact i still have afib) i panic and think im going to collapse like i used to with the slow heart rate before the pm, its horrible, im feeling better heart wise but worse due to this panic hope it passes with time and i can trust the pm ... im going in hospital again soon for cardioversion to help with the irregular pulse ..tc karen xx

I am confused

I have suffered with Af forthe past 4 years, had cardioversions and two ablations he last one was 16 months ago Recently I have been collapsing so it was decided that I need a Pm I am having a three lead pacemaker fitted in little over a week, I am confused as some people seem to recover reasonably quickly and others seem to be unwell months later. nearly 2 weeks

things are getting better :) pm fitted 2 weeks on wednesday and each day i do a bit more ive had a day at the seaside on sunday which was lovely to get out of the house after being stuck in for 6 months and also to walk ive been stuck in wheelchair for 2 months so things are getting there for me :) i do seem to struggle with the stairs it wacks me out when i get to the top for a few seconds and i get few flutters also sometimes in bed hearts fluttering a bit but apart from tht things are goin we...

I am looking for answers to several questions.

Has anyone out there had Atrial Catheter Ablation?
I just had this procedure done 3 weeks ago.
My questions, how long did it take you to recover?,
I am totally out of breath with everything I do.
I am TIRED and EXHAUSTED all the time.
My doctors say this is normal and give it time, you had a major

re-siting pm

Hi all, my pm is working fine and seems to be doing all that's required. However it appears to now be nearer the surface than when fitted. My cardiologist thinks it may be because I've lost weight in that area, I'm not sure of that. However he has offered to re-site it deeper, behind the muscle? Has any one had this done? it has healed up really well and I don't want it to be a complication prone move, Its very tender in the area and the lead junction to the pm are very defined and sore to touch...

9th day

feeling much better then i was pm put in 9 days ago for both fast heart rate and slow and also mobitz type II pm has stopped the slow and the heart block but i still get afib so im on 2.5 bisoprolol everday and its better but i still get the odd flutter when i do most things , maybe i need beta blockers upping again tend to find myself body scanning waiting for every heart beat i feel i hate it wish i could just move on and get on with life but ive gotta have cardioversion done in a few weeks ye...
