A big thank you to you. Have a look at my 15 day old scar on the Member’s Gallery. So proud of it. And I’m using it on my face too so should soon shave a decade or two off my age!!! 😂

Last Monday I went to the Doctors for a repeat prescription of antibiotics to clear my coughing phlegm laden heaving chest of 'man flu'.
“Just another weeks supply of tablets, please” I asked.
This was a different Doctor to the one I saw previously and she gave me a short medical check over.
“Your pulse is a bit slow and rather erratic” says the female practitioner “Just nip up to A&E for them to monitor your heart, it won't take...

Hi,
I've just joined this site after finding our I'm getting a pacemaker shortly. I've had open heart surgery as a baby and at 21 this is the first real issue I've had. After fainting on holiday and a lot of dizzy spells an ECG showed my heart has been getting a lot slower, I got given a reveal device which further proved this.
I'm really nervous about getting a pacemaker. I'm in my final year of uni, an active lacrosse player and I love running and go...

I have a slow heartbeat and will be getting a Pacemaker implanted in a few weeks. I have been reading these forums for the first time and it has made me a bit skitish. I realize people usually post things when there are issues but is there anyone that can tell me they feel better and have had minimal side effects since the implantation? Thanks

Hi all. Our questionnaire is finally done. I hope you will take 10 mins to answer it, so that we may use the data for our development of our mockup (product). Thank you so much before hand and if anybody is up for some more questions feel free to leave a comment on the post stating whether or not I can contact you :-)

Hi there, I got my pacemaker in July after several episodes of my heart stopping, 3rd degree heart block and bradycardia. I initially had several complications and ended up not being able to go back to work for some time, but things have definately improved. Now, as 4 months have gone by, I am wondering if anyone else has had pretty severe itching at the surgery site. It is driving me crazy....

Hi I'm a 28 yr old F and I was recently officially diagnosed with bradycardia. My HR is usually around 40 and after this diagnosis and becoming aware I realized I've had this issue for a long time and it has went unnoticed by my previous drs. I can remember being 12 telling my mom my heart was doing flipflops and her saying its growing pains. I can remember a Dr telling me my pulse was that of a dead person and I just needed to eat more fruit. Now looking forward I'm planning a we...

Hi, i'm Simone and im living with a CRT due to heart failure. Currently I am working with my group in UNI to develop a device/ or business idea that would maybe make it easier regarding the check ups we go to. So we are trying to gather information among patients so that we may develop in regards to our data. Would it be okay if I was soon to post a questionnaire in hopes of maybe getting some of your opinions.
And if it's okay and if one or more of you are open for furthe...

Here's a question that even a Biotronik rep couldn't reply to.
I have the Biotronik CardioMessenger on my night stand as suggested in the manual.
Somewhere I read that a clock radio might cause erratic behaviour with the Messenger. So my questions are: how far away should the radio be away from the Messenger? Can they both occupy the area of the table safely?

Hi All! I am needing advice and support. I am 41 years old and recently diagnosed with complete heart block. I had an ablation 3 years ago for SVT's and developed transient AV block that progressed to first degree to second degree and now complete. The complete was discovered after wearing a 30 day event monitor and stress test. My target heart rate for test was 173 after 8 and half minutes I reached 98 beats(impressive I know). I have had bradycardia for the...

Thank you so much for the encouragement from all! I go today to talk to my doctor since the loop was placed. Have a feeling I will be monitored a bit longer before the final decision.
I had a mitral regergitation about 9 years ago it was said to be moderate to severe. After a month the echocardiogram showed mild. Thank god.
Will update when I get back from my appt. again thanks for the responses ❤️

I'll be 84 years old in Feb. 2018. Docs discovered a left bundle branch bloc when I was 34 years old, which has been managed well with a variety of medications for the last 30 plus years. I have been active all my life bicycling sking surfing etc. I still walk 3or4 miles a day and go to the gym 5 days a week for weight and cardio work. My EF is now in the high 40s so my cardioligist is asking me to think about a pacemaker. Can you guys still play golf with the implant? I would like to hea...
