Supporting Heartbeat International

As an American, I have been extremely fortunate to have received an implantable defibrillator at the age of 17, which has continuely saved my life for the past 12 years. I am also grateful for the access I have to patient groups/forums, and resources to self educate myself about my heart disease.

On this Giving Tuesday, I encourage you all to consider fellow patients in countries, which may not have access to these life saving devices.

There is a wonderful organization, Heartbeat International, who provides devices and life long care to these patient populations around the globe.

Please join me in making a donation to the #TweetABeat campaign, which will support their efforts to save more global lives through providing pacemakers and ICDs to those in need.

Together we can save more lives.
