4am wake up beeps from my monitor

So early this morning I was struggling to wake up from a nice deep sleep because of a pounding heart beat and queasy chest. I was caught in that sleepy half awake state while trying to make myself push the event record button. In the mean time, my wife woke up and said my monitor was beeping like crazy. So on with the lights, lets see whats going on haha. Well the monitor display is flashing all kinds of messages none of which made much sense like the ones that said "internal monitor failure, and AFB-IS or AFB-15". Not sure which. So I called the 24 hour monitor center and they said the device was toast. The first question was do you have a pm? When I said yes, they said that sometimes when a pm intervenes it disrupts the monitors internal functions. They are mailing me a replacement unit today. The warning beep is at a high frequency and I can't hear it (my hearing loss is almost total above human voice frequencies). Wife went right back to sleep. Not me of course. Wide awake until her alarm went off at 6. Me a very light sleeper. She sleeps and snores like a drunken sailor. Don't tell her I said that! Oh ya, and I didn't any sympathy either. Just a grumpy "take the battery out stupid". She didn't say stupid, but.....
