Wheezing and Coughing

Hello all! I have an ICD due to cardiomyopathy and have been diagnosed with CHF. I am trying to excercise more, and just returned from a nice 30 minute walk. I have been wheezing and coughing ever since. I've had my device for 4 years, and this is a new symptom. Any ideas? Thanks!

Hi, you are experiencing heart failure symptoms. fluid backing up because of your floppy heart. I would take my Meds and inhaler bronchodilator for wheezing. If worsens you may need diuretic like iv lasix to help. What's your EF?

You should be checking your body weight every day. I get to the point like that if I put more then two lbs overnight.

With a low EF of 15, why they don't have you on dobutamine IV?

My EF is at 12% and I am listed for a heart transplant as 1B. Been on the IV dobutamine for a little over a year now. Also, I have a CRT-D that paces 100% of the time.

You need to get checked for extra body fluid or just check yourself. Any spungy/swelling areas on your body like your legs or chest area?
