Where does the time Go???

Just logged in, don't get much time nowadays lol, and realised it's been 4 years since I got my pm and about a year since I posted properly. When I think back to the early years I was shocked, terrified - it all seems such a long time ago now.

I had a parathyroid tumour removed last year, 2 lots of surgery before they found it and loads of scans (not mri), was fine during scans and ops and all now sorted.

My daughter got married in Malta in the summer, 80 of us went out and it was amazing. I went to slimming world and got into my dream outfit and felt the mother of the bride of the year!! lol.

I've more or less retired now, from my proper job, but spend lots of times doing jewellery sales and going to craft fairs, meet lots of nice people even if I dont make loads of money.

I go the gym a few times a week, swim, go in jaccuzi, steam room, sauna. I still love dancing and regularly walk my dogs around the local woods. I'm probably slimmer and fitter than I've been for most of my adult life.

My next project is organising my 60th birthday bash - I'm going to have a ball with a twist - black tie and posh frocks with a rock band! lol

My 3rd degree heart block and emergency pacer surgery shocked me for quite a while, I was scared, and felt very vulnerable. This site helped me so much.

Now I'm a 59 year old who still thinks shes 25, and thats how its going to stay!!!

Good for you

We need more of this kind of posting to balance the ones who have had problems and need our help. Sometimes it looks like everybody has problems with their pacer, their doctor, their life. I realize that's because those of us who aren't having these troubles tend to ignore the club until we need something again.

So, all you guys who are doing well, let's come in and shout it out!

You know you're wired when...

You have the perfect reason to show off your chest.
