Tatoos?

Had an ICD put in last month, want to get a tatoo referring to the ICD, not sure what yet. Anybody have any suggestions?

I like the lightning bolts idea, course I hope mine wont signify the thing zapping me. Had the ICDput in about 4 wks ago and open heart about 4 months ago, so I'll be waiting a little bit more to get another tat cause Im still pretty sore still.

Not had any tattoos ... ... but ny niece is a tattooist here in UK.

If you want to contact her for any ideas get in contact with me via Facebook or I can give you her My Space address. Not saying you have to drag yourself over to UK to see her, but she will give you some honest advice!

It would bre an idea to get your own ideas down on paper first and get other ideas from artists and then do your homeowrk on tattooists!!

You could have, ------------cut along dotted line---------------- ready for the next implant. har har. or a red circle with a slash through it like the no smoking signs and no wands written underneath. All good fun.

i thought about an eletric cord coming from my implant, or a danger high voltage sign,lightning bolts, personally i am once it isnt so tender around implant area am going to opt for the electric cord. im a few days 5weeks post implant and 12 weeks post open heart, still a little tender in whole chest.

Be sure the tatoo instrument doesn't inject a current into your body. It would mess up the tatoo if you started jumping around from the ICD firing.

I get a lightning bolt tattoo on the back of my neck everytime I get a shock from my ICD. I wanted something not too obvious but still meant something to me. So at this point I have three little lightning bolts at the base of my neck. You would be suprised how many people ask why I have them. Makes for an interesting story.

Theres no electricity just lots of buzzing, probaly couldnt get it to close to the scar. Figured it would be a good idea to have some kind of artwork advertising the ICD in case the fire bugs try and zap me with an AED. of course its really just an excuse to get another tatoo.

Hi all.
Chris up here in Nelson BC.
Got my ICD back on Feb 9th 09.
Just got a simple health cross done today. put it on my forearm. says "ICD" below the cross.
Looks good.
