I am due to renew my driver license and I had a complete cardiac arrest six months ago,(reason for pacemaker with difibulator) has anyone had a problem renewing their license?

hi i have had to renew my licence 2 previous occasions,but i have to send it back to the dvla for a 3 time as my icd fired last week.it should be simple as sending it back then reaplying again in 6 months providing your icd does'nt fire within the six month,i think it would be harder if you did black out at anytime

Unless you are at risk of passing out and your doctor has reported that to the DMV, you shouldn't have any trouble renewing a regular drivers license. We cannot have a commercial license with an icd.
