Hi, cowboy.

You can use the search feature in the upper right hand corner to search old posts/replies about having sex after a pm implant. Should be lots to read there! Just type in "sex".

I remember my EP saying that waiting a certain amount of time wasn't necessary if you were feeling up to it. Just be careful that the pm incision area isn't bumped or that you don't lift your arm on the pm side above your shoulders or stretch it by reaching towards your back. And most of us are told not to lift/carry anything above 5-10 lbs for a few weeks--so no holding someone up with your arms!

Way back when, the question was, "how soon could you have sex after child birth?" The answer-"well, depends if you have a private or semi private room."

I see this in two ways: 1) you're ready so go for it or 2) you're completely not ready in which case still go for it-can you think of a better way to leave?

(And if McCain/Palin wins this election, you're screwed no matter what you do-sorry couldn't resist, but someone was asking for humor and those two put Abbott & Costello at the end of the American Idol try-out line)

The answers here are wonderful, especially ElectricFrank's! Please, I hope you can see the funny side of our sense of humors. Life can be so funny at times.

For me I would be asking my partner about the question of sex.. to have or have not. It is a lot safer for me to enjoy sex now after the PM than before.... plus I am not so tired either.

My doc told me that I could do anything I did before the PM and a whole lot more as long as I kept my arm down for the first few weeks.
So for us that meant no trapeze! ha ha. Just kidding....

3 Days after for me

Cowboy,

I was back in the saddle 3 days after my pm surgery. I of course had to make sure that my arm was not to go above my head and of course since im a girl had to minimize the "jiggle" but other wise there was not problems. I have actually found that after my pm surgery I am able to enjoy things more and I don't have to worry about passing out afterwards. So I wanna wish u the best of luck.
