Embarrasing Questions!!! PACER CHICKS PLEASE!

Hello! Not been on here in a while - bad migraines bla bla bla!! Hope everyone else is ok?!!

Anyway, thanks to MnM for her erm..... question has prompted me to ask one too!!!!

Not quite sure how to broach this one.... so perhaps some of my nearest and dearest Pacer Chicks could get in contact !

Its regarding... erm... you know... when you ....... ummm..... does it show up when you have your pacing check?? - especially when your cute tech guy checks the print-out for the last few weeks and tells you there are a few occassions where my pulse rate increased!!!!!! and can I remember what I was doing at the time!!!!!!!?????

Apologies in advance as not wanting to offend any one with this question hense wanting my fellow Pacer Chicks to answer!!!

I am soon to be working with this guy!!! (I am volunteering at my local hospital!) . Don't want to keep cringing with embarrasment every time I see him!!!

Thanks everyone!!

ya'll are hilarious

by Angelie - 2008-10-16 01:10:09

being one of the many youngin's on this site, I can't say that I haven't thought of ya'lls questions. It's still hilarious to me though.
My pacer dude is not cute, even though he thinks he is (if you know what I mean). I could care less what he thinks. I think I'm the youngest/ healthiest pacer patient in my clinic so he already knows that mine's going to be screwier than the others (no pun intended).

SCARY MOVIE!!! LOL

OH MY GOD!!!! what a fab idea!!!!!!!!!!! you are so funny!!! thanks so much - how many scary movies are out there!! Think he may well figure it out when I keep going bright red though!!!! especially if he says he is a 'Scary Movie' expert and asks what movies I have been watching!!!!!!!!!

working out, girls!

by Tracey_E - 2008-10-16 02:10:31

It's all exercise- no need to specify if you ran a mile, watched a George Clooney movie or had a fun night with your partner.

My pacer dude is adorable in addition to being fabulously good at what he does and nice as can be. Happily married with kids my age so we mostly discuss kids when I see him, but he sure is nice on the eyes! And he looks better now than when I first met him 15 yrs ago. (I hate men!!!! LOL)

Ah! Memories....

Only wish I had this problem! I was asked recently how I felt about sexual harassment and my reply was "At my age...I should be so lucky!" I'm not called Wannabe for no reason, you know! xxx

funny story

by busby - 2008-10-16 08:10:08

Just wanted to tell you a funny story about one of my visits to my cardiologist. The pacemaker had recorded one episode of atrial fibrillation. It gives a time and date of when this occurred. As I was about to leave, the cardiologist he said don't worry about the AF it was probably just due to exercise. As I go to the gym my first thought was that the time was not at a time that I would have been at the gym, so I straight away said "but it was at 10:30 at night!". Realising that I had just put my foot in it I quickly added that - but we won't go there. Both my cardiologist and the young male tech had a little chuckle to themselves and I left the cardiologist slightly red faced. My husband thought it was really funny also.

What DoesPM Tell?

by SMITTY - 2008-10-16 12:10:00

Hey Lou,

It all depends on what data your PM stores and keeps. I have been told that mine records increased heart rate, time and date and keeps it for about three days I think. However, I have seen somewhere that the newer models store and keep much more data for longer periods of time. I would say you need to ask the tech (or somebody) what data your PM records and how long it keeps the stored data.

I just have to say something.... I will leave you guessing what it is for me.... :-)

Loopy Lou, you have got to be one of the most delightful people I have ever had the pleasure to know.

Bless you,
Paceergirl :)

You are always wired and full of energy.

Yesterday was my first day mountain biking after my implant. I wiped out several times and everything is fine. There are sports after pacemakers!
