PACER CHICKS IN FLORIDA?

Hey everyone!

Now, apart from Tracey E, are there any other Pacer Chicks or Pacer Boys in the Florida area! I am coming to Florida for Christmas and New Year and already hope to visit Tracey, but just wondering if there are any others out there I could say hi to, just to meet up and have a meal and a good ol chat!

I have now got a map of Florida up in my kitchen and we are now planning what we are going to be doing! Would love to catch up with some PM owners!! ...............................

OK back to PM problems....... any excuse to see my pacing tech guy again... swoon.... but does anyone else have leads close to the skins surface so you can see them? Now my swelling has gone down you can clearly see them.... yuk!! Can I do anything about it?

Ok, chat soon and thanks for your continued support!

Love & Hugs, Loopy Lou xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I should have said "welcome to Florida", to loopylou.
(and I misspelt Tracey).
I'll go back to sleep now.

You think Florida's BAD ?

I'm afraid that Zombie must have been having a bad morning.
I have just bought a house in SW Florida. I love the place (and the people).
I was born and grew up in Belfast (Ireland).
Some American people have become isolated from the rest of the world, and don't realise how fortunate they are.
There seems to be an attempt to frighten the American public by concentrating on disasters and fears of change.
The folks who are lucky enough to be able to live in the U.S.A. (especially Florida), should enjoy the great lifestyle around them.
Tracy, come on down, you will love it here.

The west coast is so pretty! Are you moving here permanently or will this be a vacation home? Coming to FL must be a trend, I have noticed a growing English and Irish community here. Several have opened most excellent pubs and one grocery so now I can get clotted cream and scones without going online.

I was in Naples last month on business. Those mean clients made me stay at the Ritz for two days .Ok, so I was in conference rooms the whole time and Ike passed through while I was there, but the hotel and view were fabulous :o)

Ok, I sat on this for a few days so I wouldn't answer hastily. I speak English just fine but still find your comments racist and offensive. Loopy Lou is bringing her family here for a vacation- a rest and a special treat for her kids after the rough year they've all had. Why would you go out of your way to make a beautiful vacation destination sound like a scary dump? I live in Palm Beach Co and happen to like it here.

I've never had lemon and papaya chicken but my family loves mojo- sour orange and garlic- and we make it all the time. And yeah, I make it with black beans and rice and occasionally plantains. Yum.

Haven't noticed any sewage spills. The beach was very pretty the last time I was there.

The road signs are in English.

There are half a dozen or so Spanish-speaking tv stations but 800 - 900 in English depending on your cable company.

I've parked in Miami and walked around the block more than once. With my kids. There are some scary neighborhoods, sure, but the tourist areas are perfectly safe.

Tracey, the house is at North Port, near Port Charlotte.
We have been spending the winters here for the last few years. Before that, we stayed in North Central Florida, (near Fort McCoy).
Winters in Ireland are not severe, but can be depressing, and the cost of heating and local travel are so high, that my friends and family from the U.S.A. don't come here as frequently.
Now that I am retired, I have joined the growing community of "snowbirds" from Canada and the north of the U.S.A..
Three of my friends (from England) have just bought houses nearby, and are looking forward to next winter.

I only hope that Zombie is not upset by the second invasion of Europeans :-)

I had hoped to hear that Maureen (Jessie) would be coming to Florida this winter.
Best Wishes,
John

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
