my baby back in hospital yet again

thank you all so much for your kind words it really helps me so so much. After coming home from his scar infection i knew he still wasn't quite right. He was grumpy crying and not feeding good. He had his appointment to see how his scar was. It was healing ok. they did a scan on his heart and found he had fluid around it. They wasn't happy and kept him in. My heart sank, not again this is not happining. The day after the fluid had increased around the heart. They have started intravenous anibiotics in case its an infection and high dose aspirin for inflamation. His pacemaker is ok. When will this nightmare end its been five times he's been in hospital a week per time. I hope this fluid goes and he's ok. I'm so exhausted and upset all the time. I'm glad i can talk to you guys someone on the outside. Thanks to you all xx

Your little one is in our thoughts and prayers. My eighth child at three weeks old was in the hospital for several days with a strangulated hernia and gangrene so I do know how you feel. With God's help, he is now fifty and going strong. I will offer my mass today for your little one's health and strength for you.... with love & prayers, .....aldeer

Please know you and your baby are in my thoughts and prayers. We parents would rather hurt ourselves than have our children hurt.
Love and Prayers,
Margaret

Baby Back in Hospital

Please know that your baby is in my thoughts. My mom would know how your feeling. When I was three months old they found that I had a whole in my heart and a leaky mitral valve and when I was 2 1/2 years old I had open heart surgery. My heart stopped twice. Once during the surgery and once after. I hope that you have a support system to fall back on. It has to be for hard and trying times for you and your family.
My heart goes out to you.

I read your post. I am gramma to Aletheia Joy - born 4 years ago with complete heart block followed with a bout of conjestive heart failure. I am praying for you. Nothing is harder than having a child with a serious medical problem. On a positive note - with today's medical knowledge - and hopefully a very competent pediatric cardiologist - you will stay on top of this. My granddaughter is echocardiographed every 5-6 months and is on 2 heart meds for life - BUT she is the biggest bundle of energy you every saw - freely talks about her pacer (even to animals and imaginary friends) and is afraid of no one. My daughter is pregnant again - and the antibodies that destroyed alethia's natural pacemaker have a 20% chance of attacking this baby too - but I would not change one minute with this little treasure.
Your sign on is bigbear - if you live in southern california you have some of the best children's care available on the earth. Let me know if you are in this area and I can give you some doctors and hospitals.

You know you're wired when...

You can proudly say you’re energy efficient.
