Dehydration, infection?

Hi 1st time posting,,, just had my on-demand pacer replaced for the 1st time after 10 years of use.... and my MD told me that he tried to place the unit deeper into my pectoral muscle,. to make it look nicer,, its been almost 3 weeks and the bump over the unit is very puffy.. and swelling hasnt gone down at all... Anyone here had a pacer infection? What should I look for if I think I may have one growing..? Also Im curious if anyone on this list under the age of 35 has had asystole..(no heart beat) and fainted from it... Do you notice it only seems to happen when you are dehydrated??? Looking for someone like me , young healthy,,,ALMOST....! Thanks Marc

Bump

You didn't say how long it has been since the replacement. Putting the pacer into or under the pectoral muscle will disturb more tissue and take a bit longer to heal. Even under the muscle can still leave a bump. It will just be more rounded. I would give it about 2 weeks before getting concerned unless it shows external signs of infection.
