Celebrating Being Special

Hi there fella pacer dudes

I'm feeling a bit tired and anxious since being told I've got to go in and have my battery changed the week before last. I live in the UK so I'm lucky there - it's all free of charge. I think the tiredness is psychological, but I'm surprised I'm feeling anxious as this will be battery No.4 for me and I'm only 37. I've been given the 29th July as my op date. It's the day after my birthday, so how pants is that with the possibility of being nil-by-mouth on my birthday night ! That's just my luck - so I've found that a bit depressing. I've got a pre-clerking/pre-op appoint for this Friday.

I came onto this site to cheer myself up a bit, and found that I really should be celebrating being special instead of feeling sorry for myself. I've looked and realised that after my op on the 29th I will be the person who has had the most devices fitted, out of us members living in the UK on this site. I knew there would be a silver lining !! How special do I feel now............only VERY :-) !!!!

Take care everyone
Luv Julie xx

Hey! Happy early birthday and hope all goes well! I'm fourteen and also on my fourth pacer, so you're not the only one. I absolutly adore your positive attitude, it helps me keep mine! Lol. Yup, you are quite specialfull (that's Bethie's word, I know her so it's ok)! Well, maybe the doctors will give you a break a leave you alone for five seconds... :)

Stay quite delectable, Sydney

You know you're wired when...

You have a shocking personality.

Sometimes a device must be tuned a few times before it is right. My cardiologist said it is like fine tuning a car.
