Bad News Fairy......

The Bad News Fairy has visited me again and I'm not coping well at all.

It's almost a year since I got sick, thought it was done with and moving forward, happily.

Had a bad bout of pain, thought it was gallstones but it's a growth in my Common Bile duct.

Doesn't seem to be malignant but won't know til it's out.....

I will be having a big, nasty surgery shortly, followed by another 2 or 3 months of recovery...surgeon says 2, GP says 3+ !!

Must admit, I do not feel fabulous, seem to be falling down the rabbit hole......I know, don't blame the rabbits.

For a stoic person, I'm falling apart.....sorry to whine, wish the Bad News Fairy would vanish!

Hi, I've been right there where you are recently. Thanks to the wonderful friends I have here,I am doing much better. I pray they will come through for you as well.

I would like to say that no one should worry about whining on this site. If that is where you are today... well then let me be your ears. Let me listen with an open heart and show you the compassion that has recently been shown to me. If you think anyone will fault you for "falling apart" you are wrong. We have all had our share of that.

Eventually the bad news fairy will leave you and you will be so happy to see him go. I will be happy for you!

Thanks for your email - sorry for the delay in getting back to you but computer has been playing up... Anyway, I was really sad to hear your news and send you a massive hug.

Whining is part of life and IS allowed! also falling apart is allowed - but only a little bit - where the seams of life sag a bit!

Hang in there...... easy for me to say - but we are all here for you and just an email away!

Lets all banish that Bad News Fairy back to Bad News Fairyland! and let all of us here in Pacer Club Land find you the Good News Fairy..... !
