EOL

I just read a post that had EOL (end of life) which basically means your pacemaker doesn't have much power left in it before you will need a new one. Your pacer, when in this mode (EOL), basically defaults to it's most basic settings and all the "extras" are not working any more - that is how it was explained to me.

Two weeks ago I was also advised by the Medtronic Rep that they have now changed the term EOL to EOS = End Of Service because EOL sounded kind of morbid.

So if we start to see EOS, we will know what it means. Perhaps the Admin can add this to the list of abbreviations; I'll ask him to do this.

Take care,
Pookie

My husband will like that. When I told him my pacemaker was getting to EOL soon he said that sounds awful.

Sounds better

Now if they could only use a different term instead of "heart failure".

So, my advice is to go about your daily routine and forget that you have a pacemaker implanted in your body.
