Wow - thank you all for so many uplifting and supportive comments and private messages. I don't think I'll be able to respond to each and every one of them because of the sheer volume, but I will try.

The good news: I got my name on the cancellation list for my kidney cancer, but they can't call me in until after February 1st because I'm having my ejection fraction tested that day which is something the kidney surgeon wants...and i get it done every year at this time anyways. It's always been between 60% and 64% so I don't expect any surprises there....even with my Left Ventricle Noncompaction issue.

It is the flu season here in Nova Scotia, Canada and the surgeon's secretary said they always have cancellations for a number of reasons (can't operate on anyone with a chest cold) and since I do not work and just live 12 minutes from the hospital, well lets just say she was more excited than I was because she explained how time consuming it can be for her to find someone to come in with practically no notice. I just know I'll have my bags packed and will be sleeping with the phone on my pillow starting on Feb 2nd :)

Again, thank you all SO very much for all the support - I truly appreciate it.

Yep, dearest Pooks another challenge to rise to. You have had so may over the past few years. Glad you are on the cancellation list. You have always been so supportive of others and it is now our turn to do the same for you. We are all sending positive thoughts and hugs and lots of love. Billie xx

I've had the flu since New Year's Eve and I'm STILL sick with that and top that off with a chest cold............
