THANK YOU !!!

Many members responded to my original posting regarding SOB. Your responses and concern were very touching, and very helpful. I am curently in Gainesville Fl where I have had a winter home for the last 23 years. I contacted my internist here who is affiliated with the UF Shands Medical Center. She examined me, ordered bloodwork and an Echo and set me up with an EP Cardiologist. Upon meeting with the Ep Card. I was informed that my ejection fraction had dropped from 55 to 25. She ordered a Cardiac Cath to check for blockages on this past tues, found nothing, kept me in the hospital Weds and Thurs replaced my 11 monht old PM with a new AICD Biventricular pacemaker. The results have been unbelievable. From the minute I awoke from the surgery, I could breathe. I have no shortness of breath and feel the best I have felt for almost a year. I have no pain at the surgical site, and as a bonus got my old pacemaker which I will keep I my desk as a paperweight. Again my sincere thanks to all of you that reponded. I was really depressed, and your messages pushed me to do something instead of accepting the status quo. REGARDS TO YOU ALL.

I am glad that everything is going well for you. I am also in Florida in the Daytona Beach area. How is the weather up by you?

Life does not stop with a pacemaker, even though it caught me off guard.
