What's Going On?

I posted last week about having my second ablation. Well, all went well, and I am home from the hospital.
I am having some strange new symptoms now that I have never experianced before. They don't seem to be heart related, but I was wondering if any of you might know what is going on.
Since the procedure on Tuesday, I have gained 15 pounds! I am also having difficulty urinating...it seems to take a really long time and strain to get the flow started.
Anyone know what might be going on?

Thanks,
Amanda

SOB

Cathryn mentioned shortness of breath. I have actually been experiancing SOB, but I attributed it to the pain and swelling after the ablation. I also have asthma, so I thought that could be the culprit of the SOB as well.

Thanks for all of your help, I will be contacting my doctor.

I am glad to hear the albation went well. I agree with the others in saying to get it checked out right away. Hopefully whatever is causing this to happen to you can be easily treated.
Good luck with everything, let us know how it goes! I'll be praying for you!

Possibility of hospital infection

by ElectricFrank - 2008-06-08 02:06:22

You could easily have picked up one of those nasty hospital acquired infections while in for the ablation.
Rapid weight gain with the urination problems are not a good sign under any condition. Don't wait until you are in real distress to go for help.

If you follow my posts you will know that I am not one to run for medical help unless it is obviously urgent. This is urgent.
