Passing out

I too was one of those people that was passing out after I got my PM. I had just posted as VERY DISCOURAGED. I was just readmitted to the hospital last week for passing out twice. They have now readjusted my PM and set my pace at 70 but when I get up and start moving around it is set to jump up to 100. They also found that my potassium was a little on the low side so they have me taking a supplement and want me to start drinking things like powerade or gaterade. I feel so much better. I'm not nearly as tired as I was before and don't feel dizzy at all. They said that maybe I needed more output more quickly from my heart than I was getting so my oxygen level was dropping causing me to pass out. So far so good since they made the adjustment. I dont even notice the jump in the heart rate. Maybe this might be helpful to someone else having the same problem.... Saphire416

my favorite potassium drink

15 years before I found out the real reason why I faint, I discovered a drink called "Electromix" by Alacer corp, the company that makes Emergen-C. It has no calories, is low in sodium, and packed with potassium. It comes in convenient packages of powder, so you can mix it into water where ever you are. If you don't have a healthfood/vitamin store close by you can google Alacer, and order online. Orange juice is a great natural source of potassium also.
I found that as soon as I get "that feeling" if I slam a potassium drink, I don't faint, and within 5 minutes, I feel normal.
Hope that helps.
