you do have a lot of stress. sending you back to work so very soon tho is not wise. my suggestion as before is to get a cardio to write you need a month off if you can. if you go back on light duties and it is the graveyard shift is there a place you can catch a nap. these are all things to be considered as you mentioned you really need the job. you also are weak and not strong yet. good luck to you and let us know how things are. remember it will get better jessie

thant you

You guys are awesome. I am glad there is a place like this. Thanks for all the support. I hope to do the same for others that have this done as well.

I will try, its scary cuz i just moved to California and just got a job 3 weeks ago. If i am out for too long then i lose my job, which i cant afford too.

I understand

Well, it sounds like you have a lot of 'life' going on right now. Can be tough. I'm kinda in a 'situation' myself right now, so I can relate a bit to your feelings of needing the job and financial stability while at the same time trying to care for your physical and emotional well being. Feel free to private message me if you'd like.

Tired

I agree with ella-girl. Every day you should notice an improvement. I got my PM, stayed over night, had allergic reactions to pain meds until just switched to Tylenol plain. Went to work Monday with just a long wk-end off & thought I'd fall on my face. Get as much rest as you can, try to not stress out (easier said then done) & know we all are thinking of you.

Hang in there!

Heya, faithman007.

Just remember...it will take you some time to get back in the swing of things, so go easy on yourself. You just had some life changing surgery and no one expects you to be out running marathons just yet! It took me a good 4 weeks before I even vaguely started feeling human again. I'm glad you find this group helpful--it has been a great source of support for many, including me. Give yourself a little more time and pampering!

Happy pacing!

Tired

You didn't give much history, in my case had a 4 yr old guidant pacer replaced by a medtronic ICD/pacer on 11-19 condition CHF and total heart block ,for two weeks post surgery couldn't walk over 10' without rest, talked to Dr , had settings changed improved EF from 30 to 40 which made a marked improvement in my feelings of tiredness.

You know you're wired when...

You always have something close to your heart.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didn’t slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
