There is a good book out called "How Doctors Think" by Jerome-Groopman,MD. It really gives insight into the process used by busy and incompetent doctors. The author is chief of experimental medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston and teaches at Harvard Medical School. One of the interesting points he makes is that most doctors have your diagnosis figured out in the first few minutes in the office. After that it makes little difference what you say as far as making any difference.
It is an excellent book than gives insight into the problems with docs that are posted here every day.

I'm 35 and got my pacemaker a little over a year ago. It definitely is not a burden to me. In fact, I have more energy (which my husband enjoys), can do more things with my kids and have weight because of having the energy.
thanks

It sure sounds interesting. It's weird how part of our health now depends on our ability to read health care professionals.
take care,
