I'm still alive!

Hi all. It has been quite a while since I visited the Club. Part of the absence has been due to my pacemaker working so well that I forgot about it! This summer I rented a Jeep in Colorado and explored only mining roads at altitudes as high as 13,500 ft. Then I hiked up trails to almost 14,000 ft.
The other thing in my life is that my wife Mary died in April. She had been going through a rough time since July 06 and I was busy helping her. Her death precipitated some pacemaker related issues that I am in the process of resolving. I have a checkup scheduled next week and will post more on all this soon.
It's good to be back.

Did anyone ever watch any of those silly Short Circuit movies? Anyways...seemed an appropriate title as ElectricFrank said he was alive and he is wired!

It sounds like you did quite some rompin' around this summer. Good for you! A lot of people could benefit from your positivity.

My deepest sympathy, too, on the loss of your wife.

Welcome back! We're here for you!

Frank,
Please accept my deepest sympathy at the loss of your wife. You were a great help to me when I first had my PM implanted 2 years ago. I wish you well and hope your pacing issues are soon resolved.
Jackie

Thanks all

Thanks for the sympathy. While I miss my wife very much it was really all for the better and what she wanted. Life wasn't very enjoyable for her and she was adamant she did not want to go to a nursing home.

You know you're wired when...

You have a T-shirt that reads “Wired4Sound”.
