Pacemaker Popped...?

Hello,

I am new here. I had my pacemaker implanted in Aug. This morning I swear I heard it make a pop like sound. It seems like it is tilted now and one side feels closer to the skin.

Has anyone heard or had a similar situation?

Thank you,
CJ

I have felt a lot better and have lost 22 lbs. Mine also feels closer to the surface. And I notice my scar now tilts more. The card said he stitched mine to the muscle so maybe you did pop a stitch or something. Call the office and tell them what you told us. It may be nothing but don't take the chance.
And welcome to the Pacemaker Club. The MOST knowledgeable bunch of people you ever hope to meet.

Hi CJ,

I am going through something similar to that. My PM seems to be moving around. When I got into see my Dr to look at it in his office ( while laying down) he noticed it too. He has put me back on light duty at work ( no lifting more than 10 pounds) I am a Preschool teacher & those little ones get heaHe is waiting to see if this does any good for me...otherwise he is going to go in & connect it to a muscle instead of just under the skin. He said I am feeling it so much because I am so thin.

Good Luck and keep us all posted on how you are doing

Gloria

I have had my pacer since 2005. At first it ruled my life. It took some time to calm down and make the mental adjustment. I had trouble sleeping and I worried a lot about pulling wires. Now I just live my life as I wish.
