Hello my friends.
I have been told that my pm battery is wearing down, now have to go every 3 months for check ups. Sunday night coming down stairs, dont know what happened but I fell down stairs and broke my foot, now in plaster of paris.
About 4 hours previous to this I was outside and for some unknown reason i stumbled and fell flat on my face. I am not sure if this is in relation to my battery wearing down.
Not mentioned this at the hospital as was not my usual hospital.
Does anyone think I should contact my pm clinic and ask for an early review
Regards
Fluzy Suzy

Bounces

Hi Suzy,
Sorry to hear about your bad luck. Now you got to remember that a ball is good for only so many bounces. I don't know how many you are good for but I will say you sound like you may be using them up pretty fast.
Now to be serious. When a PM goes into the EOL Tracey mentioned it will reset itself to a constant rate of 65 BPM. When that happens you will not feel very good, but there is at least 3 months service left in the battery. So why not check your heart rate and if you are on 65 BPM and if you are I'm sure you will want to check with your dr. I know when my battery went South and into EOL I was ready to get rid of that sucker.
Good luck,
Smitty
Dumb question

Thanks for your info. Unfortunately I cannot put ice on foot as it is in plaster of paris, cannot read, have not got the patience, meds make me really fuzzy, so all in all i am in pain lol lol but will get better.
You know you're wired when...
You run like the bionic woman.

call

When in doubt, call and ask to be checked! Normally the battery is fully functional but at the end of the battery life there is a mode called EOL (end of life) when it cuts back to minimum function. This means it paces at a steady rate rather than going up and down with activity so theoretically we are safe and won't pass out, but if we pace a lot we may not feel well.
Two falls is reason enough to call your dr, whether it's the pm or not it needs to be checked out.
