Hello, I check in at the club about once a week. I am about 20 month out from my getting my pacemaker. I had been feeling well and have been very pleased about that. Then last week my heart beats began skipping around after calming down for 3 months. It is a combination off missed beats and fast ones. It feels a bit like a roller coaster ride. The only thing that changed ( that I can think of) was for the summer I froze my gym membership and was not doing any cardio work. Do you think it just coincidence that these strange heart beats ended when I stopped doing cardio workouts and started up again when I started working out. I just had my "over the phone" pacer check a couple of weeks ago before this started and everything was fine. When I was last having this feeling in June it happened I had a reg. cardio appt. - they said they "saw what I was talking about on the pacer check and there was not much they could do and I should just not pay attention to it. I felt insulted and a bit miffed about the Dr telling me not to pay attention to my body. I wouldn't have told him if it wasn't annoying and how efficient can a heart be if keeps skipping beats? Today I was driving and it was happening a lot and I wondered if that is OK.
Any thoughts?
Thanks

I went into the history here and did find some info on people who were getting their heart rate up pretty high and having some irregulat beats. I do have rate responsiveness on . I can talk about that at my next appt. I guess my question is can excersize induce irregular heartbeats?
Thanks for your help. It is hard to have the heart just feeling so strange. I am realizing the Dr cannot fix everything and I am not a person who likes to take meds.

I have the same problem

I have bouts with Palpitations and or extra beats. My Cardiologist (EP) told me after a 24 hr holtor "That is the way your heart behaves"! He told me that they could not hurt me.
Palpitations and High Blood pressure have been a recent problem post implant. I have had my Pacer for 6 weeks!
I go in Monday to have the Rate Response feature disabled per my EP. Hopfully this will help with my high blood pressure. I don't know.
You often feel helpless with crazy heart feelings and it is worse when the Physician can not fix the problem immediately.
Patience is the best thing in our condition.
