Last night while laying down and watching tv, the area around my PM started to twitch. It lasted for about an hour until I fell asleep. It was a pretty strong twitch too. The only other time this happened was several years ago after this PM was implanted. The muscles would twitch at the gym to the point where I could see my shirt move while looking in the mirror. They fixed it with some adjustments at my next "tune up."
This was weird because i wasn't doing anything out of the ordinary. I woke up this morning and it had stopped.
This is my second PC, I'm 50 and athletic...blah blah...
Thoughts? I'm call my PM guys this week and set up an appt to see what was going on last night. But I'm wondering if you guys have ever had a similar thing happen.

Hey Chris!
I wouldn't worry too much, but get your pacemaker guys to check it over just to be on the safe side.
I had a similar problem not too long ago. Now and then my pacemaker would twitch uncontrollably to the extent where I could literally see my shoulder pulsing, It was pretty alarming.
It happened a few times randomly, so it was hard to pinpoint what exactly was setting it off. For instance it once occurred whilst I was taking a long walk with my family, and another time whilst I was simply walking up the stairs.
Feeling concerned, I booked an appointment with my pm doctors and told them about the problem. From what I can remember they briefly explained that It could be the pacemaker sending signals to itself which is pretty normal apparently. I don't really understand it.
They just did a bit of 'retuning' and I haven't had the problem since.
Hope this helps somewhat!

So this hasn't happened to anyone else? So strange that it hasn't happened since.
I'll let you know what the EP says regardless.

I finished 29th in London in 2 hours 20 minutes 30 seconds which is my fastest with or without a device so clearly it didnt slow me down ! I had no problems apart from some slight chaffing on my scar - more Vaseline next time.
well nice to hear from you
