Copy Machines

HI Everyone,

I have had to be on light duty at work because of what the Drs. think might be a torn rotator cuff. Since I am on light duty ( I am a Preschool teacher) I do things like paper work.

My question is...will doing a lot of coping at one time affect my PM? I know there are certain things we are supposed to stay away from but...wasn't sure about a coping machine.

God Knows...I don't want to find out the hard way.

Any help will be appreciated.

Gloria

I use a copy machine all the time at work and have never had a problem.

I taught preschool for 16 years and absolutely love that age group. It is a pretty physical job. I am sure you miss them. Hope you are healed and well quickly.

Copy away

You are far enough away from anything in a copy machine that could affect your pacemaker to be concerned. If you want to be really careful, stay away from the machine if the cover is open, but even this is unnecessary.

NOT ALL DAY

I dont think it will affect your pacemaker. But my advice would be to get someone else to share the photocopying as the fuser (hot roll) in copiers causes toxic fumes (chemicals) to be released into the air which you are breathing. This is not beneficial to your general health and well being.

You know you're wired when...

You can take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’.
