My sympathy

So sorry to hear of your plight. I can't stand the smell of second hand smoke. I even quit a job over it years ago - and now it is illegal to smoke in any public building in my state. It is so refreshing to go to bars, the bowling alley or restaurants and "breathe" again.

Is there any chance you can talk the new tennents into using a designated smoking area away from any drafts that would come your way? Is it possible that your landlord could intervene (or move either of you to a different unit)? If they are that negligent with their health, they are probably equally reckless with other safety issues.

More and more states are now "smoke free" and I know now that I would never move to one that isn't.

Good Luck,
GE

... it's not possible for a PM to detect smoke, but if you are irritated by the smoke, your brain will send signals to your heart to speed up your sinus node and that would activate your PM.

the only thing i could suggest is buy a clean air pact for your unit. if they allow smoking you can't change that now someday..... i am not anti anything but i can't stand to be around smoking either take care maureen

You know you're wired when...
