Mended Hearts

Hi Aztec,

Many large hospitals/medical centers have support groups called "Mended Hearts". These groups began years ago as support for people who had undergone open-heart surgery, namely bypass. They have now included other cardiac patients including ICDs. You can call the hospitals convenient to you and inquire if they have a "Mended Hearts" group, or know of one in your area.

Atlantic Care offers free information for people who are in need of cardiac support. These seminars are held every month at the Life Center on 2500 English Creek Road, Egg Harbor Township NJ, 08234. If you're not from this area just call the 1800 number and they will be able to help you. If all else fails we can start one ourselves. Keep in touch and I hope this helps you all. For more information on up coming events and seminars please call 1-888-569-1000. WWW.Atlanticcare.org

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
