Our Thoughts Are with Our Southeastern U.S. Members Affected by Hurricanes Helene and Milton

Dear Pacemaker Club Members,

As Hurricane Helene and Milton have made their impact felt across the southeastern part of the U.S., we want to take a moment to express our deepest concern and support for all our members who have been affected by these devastating storms. Our hearts are with you during this challenging time, and we hope that you and your loved ones are safe.

We understand that natural disasters can pose challenges for those with pacemakers, whether it involves access to medical services, power outages, or other disruptions. Please know that the Pacemaker Club community is here to support you in any way we can.

We encourage you to reach out through our forum to share your experience. Sharing your experiences and challenges can help you find support and assist others who might be facing similar situations.

I am sure all those who are affected will find comfort and helpful advice in your message.  I know of several members who may have been affected by both hurricanes and we have yet to hear from them personally, but I hope they will see your message and respond soon.

I see Florida has the highest number of hurricanes in the United States.  Being well prepared for these disasters like having a supply kit checklist of what to keep with us in the event of another hurricane will be so valuable.  I attach a direct link (see the Plan and Prepare sections) with lots of useful info:-

If it's any consolation, we lucky enough to be further afield in places like the UK, do follow what goes on with awe and a lot of sympathy.

Seeing images of the storm from above and below is terrifying just to look at. The queues of vehicles heading away, leaving properties to the elements must be soul destroying, then the clean-up.

Then there are the wildfires, tornados, volcanos and earthquakes to add to the mix.

Hope life starts to return to normal soon, if possible.
