Bra problems! (Sorry)

Hi,

Newbie posting (sorry, again)

I am two weeks post Medtronic dual lead PM implant and I am really struggling in the evenings when I take my bra off. Obviously this is a necessity, as it's impossible to bath or shower whilst still wearing it (although I've considered wearing a bikini πŸ‘™ )

Have been sleeping in one of those soft sleep bra things for comfort, which I have to put on as soon as I've exited the shower, as I'm in considerable pain without any support but my question is, will this settle down? Is the pain likely to be a permanent gravity type problem or is it because I'm still healing?

I'm finding evenings very difficult at the moment and sleeping is hard enough, without being in pain before I go to bed.

You're only two weeks into healing. How you feel right now will pass as your body adjusts to the new equipment. Many of us were uncomfortable sleeping and having our proper support. You certainly can wear a bra to hold things from moving or hanging down causing pressure. Go ahead and wear a bathing suit top while showering if it helps.

Yes! things will settle down !

The pain is due to healing and your body won't hurt in time.
Cushion yourself with extra pillows while in bed.
Be patient with yourself! Being tired makes everything feel worse. πŸŒΈπŸ’•

Still healing for sure.

Side note:  my wife wears a soft sports front  closing bra to bed most nights.  At age 63 fighting the  inevitable and unstoppable forces of gravity.   It's helped.

it will settle!

Sports bras are your friend for now, but things should settle down as you heal more. I also liked those tanks with the built in shelf bra. They're easy to sleep in at night, layer during the day. It was a couple of months before I was in a regular bra again.

Pain Management

Did you try Paracetamol? It could help to manage the pain you describe. Try to take two tablets (1 gram in total) before you go to sleep. Some people say it also helps them to fall asleep. I know from my own experience that there is some truth is that statement...

I feel for you! Definitely a challenge to healing for us ladies. It did get a little  better after a couple weeks for me.

I handled the shower ok, but sleeping and relaxing were uncomfortable. The same discomfort happened when I had CPR done and had to heal from that then getting the pacemaker and going through that healing.

I have found that bandeau bras are comfortable for sleeping. It is nice that they do not have straps but they need to fit right and might not be for everybody. Possibly those exist as a bikini top too?

Good luck to you, I hope you find something that helps you.
