Verification of Email Address

Hi, How do I get my email verified? On initially joining I seem to be logged in, when I log out it will not let me back in because the email is not verified. Sent two emails to info@pacemaker and had no reply, I have to change my username and password each time I log in which is not great.              Thanks Frustrated Nearly A Member

Verification of Email address doesn't always perform well

Steve, I have changed your "access level" from inactive to active so I hope that will help?  I am a moderator here.  All I can do is to apologise for all the difficulties we are all experiencing while this site is being upgraded over a period of several months.

I hope you hear from Admin soon and that you can get this sorted, but since you are able to log on and post, you are clearly already a member, so please go ahead and continue posting.  You might stay logged in if you keep having to change your username and password.  I know how frustrating this is but it will get sorted!

Thank you Gemita, I will stay logged in for this evening (UK time) and will try and log in tomorrow, fingers crossed.

Email Verification

I experienced a similar issue where my account wasn't working and resetting it wouldn't work because I never recieved the verification email.  I ended up creating a new account with same account name and it lets me login though each time says I need to verify my email, though an email never comes (not in spam/junk/etc.). I'm wondering if there's anything I need to do to activate or merge the 'old' and 'new' accounts, or if the issue will resolve on its own.

I don't think the issue will resolve on its own, since it has been going on for quite some time - possibly years.  I think we all need to wait for the new owners of this Club to upgrade the failing software.

Try not to create multiple accounts.  I hope you and Steve can log in with one primary account otherwise you will confuse yourselves and the system!

I had the same problem once and I got myself into a real pickle by frustratingly creating too many accounts on my main computer.  I didn't know where I was in the end.

When the new system is up and running, I will ask if there is a way for a moderator to have permission to verify email addresses, so that a new member will not have to wait for a confirmation email.  All I can do at the moment is to activate a new member's account.  I see yours has already been activated Tachy

Thanks
