Interesting links Piglet.

Do you think that the beta blocker has anything to do with your current issues?

Hello Piglet, yes I found both links very helpful, especially the one on Beta Blockers.  I already knew about cardioselective ones as opposed to non cardioselective beta blockers, but the detail in the link was impressive and quite easy to understand.

I was particularly interested in the Water soluble beta blockers which are less likely to cause sleep disturbances since on Bisoprolol which i know you are also on, I am having a few sleepless nights.  It is known that beta blockers can affect melatonin levels, the sleep hormone.  Bisoprolol for both hubby and I has caused nightmares.

I see Atenolol, Celiprolol or Nadolol are all "water soluble beta blockers".  I may also ask about a Calcium Channel Blocker instead.  I am a bit concerned about changing meds since Bisoprolol has been with me since the start of my pacemaker journey

But I think it will make me feel a lot better. My stamina to walk is already better, even right after surgery. They had me walk all around the floor before they would release me. I did so without being exhausted and winded the way I had been.
