Rate Response

Hi All,
I've been reading this forum for quite some time now and was very interested in the postings about Rate Response.
I have had a pacer for a very long time now and the rate response has always been turned on. Yesterday I went for my clinic appointment and mentioned I had been reading about it. Well, guess what? I haven't needed it turned on all this time, so off it went. So far so good! I am hoping that it will now help with the shortness of breath and arrythmias I get when I try to do something more than just walking around.
I also no longer feel the little "tapping" and twitching muscles I have gotten in the past!
Thank you ALL! What a wonderful place where one can get information that really can help.
After 33 years with a pacemaker this is the first day of the rest of my life.
Best to you all and thanks again.
Gellia

I have a well tuned pacer. I hardly know I have it. I am 76 year old, hike and camp alone in the desert. I have more energy than I have had in a long time. The only problem is my wife wants to have a knob installed so she can turn the pacer down.
